This is a pleaseant surprise. I freaking love this game, is clunky, unbalanced, grindy.... But it's also a love letter full of Fanservice to the first 3 Seasons. 10/10

@The One True Nobody - 05:51 to 06:21 : Hello, Latin American here, and I'm fairly certain that's us 😅? My memory about the whole series is spotty at best, however... Luckily, we have a fairly comprehensive wiki about LA dubs as a whole that has had input from people in the industry itself and more for years! Apparently, for the entirety of the OG run of Sailor Moon, they used the original Japanese footage and audio, but translated the script from the DiC English dub and French dub (which in itself was based on the DiC English dub), using the DiC English dub names/concepts/etc, and only defaulting back to Japanese when it was the last option for something 🤔. We did get the original Japanese music, and even got a fairly good adaptation of the first opening and ending songs... but only the first ones, which got reused throughout the whole series. The singer of those however, alongside other singers of Dragon Ball, Digimon, Slam Dunk, etc. (they were dubs of similar, yet great quality), eventually did adapt versions of other openings and endings way after the fact, and they're pretty good 😃! I'd be lying if I said I remember most of the changes but: I'm almost 100% certain Zoisite is female... and while the adaptation telephone certainly neutered the relationship implications with either one of the Sailor Senshi and/or Kunzite (and this next part also applies to Ail/An), it didn't completely eliminate it so... oh boy 🤣! I'm fairly sure they went with the gender change idea for the Sailor Starlights because they got both a male and female VA (and no, it wasn't remotely subtle)... But I can't, for the life of me, remember how they handled Uranus and Neptune 🙃! If someone can point me towards the episode number that had the infamous 'cousins' line, I'll go look the LA dubbed episode, just to solve this unknown, haha 😆.

Honestly, this is happiest Lewis has sounded in a while... Don't blame ya, Sailor Moon was the show that exposed me to anime as a kid... Ironic that my next anime, and my personal favorite, was Yu Yu Hakusho.

Watching what I have of the new dub makes the old show a lot more enjoyable and represents the partial action-parody aspect of the series which really improves the comedy. Particularly with how flawed Usagi is as a protagonist, especially early on. Would totally support the official releases Toei if you would actually gave us one over here in Europe!!!

Ah yes, BSC is playing Sailor Moon Another Story. I will tell you this game is awesome has hell. The only drawback of the game is the brutal random encounter rate. Let's see how Lewis gets around it. Also, there is a fan made sequel floating around in the ether. It's pretty good, but I recommend not recording it for the channel due to that game having actually has music and cutscenes from the show.

Always knew about but never watched Sailor Moon. I guess I just wasn’t a fan of the main character’s design, same reason I wrote off Demon Slayer after 3 episodes. Okay I lie, I watched a single episode of Sailor Moon as a little kid and didn’t understand a word of it cuz the vhs was in either Chinese or Japanese, with words of English sprinkled in here and there.
