Great Museums®Television showcases the world-famous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in its newest one-hour special. "Sound Tracks" premiered worldwide on September 4th, 2015 on WVIZ-TV Cleveland, OH, followed by coverage in over 95% of the country's top markets on national public television.
Launched to coincide with the museum’s 20th anniversary, "Sound Tracks: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum" features interviews, histories, and a look at spectacular artifacts from the roots of rock through today, as well as an inside look at I.M. Pei’s glittering museum masterpiece on the shores of Cleveland’s Lake Erie.
Narrated by Steven Van Zandt, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, the program includes interviews with Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, Mickey Hart, drummer for The Grateful Dead, and Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone Magazine and co-founder of the Rock Hall. These artists and rock pioneers, along with the museum’s own experts, provide context and insight into the story of Rock as a the foremost cultural movement of our time.
