It’s good but it really just would put Peter down just as much as the last game did, Peter does nothing on his own in this script. You had a great set up to address the way miles was able to beat Peter in the last game by having another fight between them but flipped in a clever way. Instead you imply Peter can’t handle this fight by giving Cindy the chance to interact with Otto/superior miles, who she knows nothing about and has never interacted with. Norman Osborn, who has been built up as a villain spawning from the mistakes of Peter, and his hatred for Peter as Spider-Man should’ve been Peter’s fight. But again you throw in Miles and Cindy who have no connection to Norman? Yes, Miles needs to be proven to be the future Spider-Man of this universe, but we already know he’s ready, the past 2 games have been hammering that it for us, you sort of just left him off in the same spot as the last game’s ending: taking on the city alone, but with extra steps. I also think miles is too young to be mentoring Cindy, I think they work better as equals in this. The goal (in my opinion) should’ve been to really give Peter a great send off that does what all legacy send offs should do: give that character respect and some cool moments. Have him seem cooler than the new characters, have him take on some wild threats, stuff like that since this is literally his swan song.Instead, he loses encounters, gets saved by side characters, doesn’t solve anything, never wins anything alone, and even his past is disgraced by saying how easy it was when Peter was a young Spider-Man. This suffers from the same issues that made Spider-Man 2’s story so underwhelming, in my opinion. But, like insomniac, you clearly put in lots of good effort here, and you referenced and webbed together parts of Peter’s history in clever ways. Sorry if I sounded rude, but I did think you would subvert the negative things insomniac did instead of sort of double down on them.

I'm sorry but I'm going to be very cynical... Insomniac will not respect Peter as much as Lewis did. After finishing Spider-Man 2, I'm 100% sure of it. I really, really hope that I'm wrong, I really, REALLY hope they will give him the opportunity to show that he is the Superior Spider-Man, be the inspiration for Miles and Cindy who will be the new heroes, even if he retire at the end... but I don't believe it for one second. It annoys me to write what I'm writing right now, but they will do what they did with Spider-Man 2 : they will undermine him, show him how overwhelmed he is in every situation and he will need help every time.

@@bluewings2 I agree, that’s why I dislike this script for undermining Peter. But I disagree about Peter becoming the superior Spider-Man, he was already evil with the symbiote. I think it would be way better if miles becomes the superior Spider-Man, because then Peter has to fight a version of miles who doesn’t have the weakness of sound or clouded mind of the symbiote, its regular miles but more efficient and smarter. This would give Peter a real moment to shine. If Peter became the superior Spider-Man like you’re saying, it would literally just end with him being beaten up by miles and Cindy again which is just more disrespect.

@@wildcrochunter6724 Sorry, I wasn't clear enough when I wrote Peter as the Superior Spider-Man, I simply meant the GOAT Spider-Man XD It's also a little wink to how this storyline ended, with Otto admiting that Peter is the Superior. I understand how you feel, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they adapt the storyline an use Peter as body for Otto anyway, because I'm sure they don't dare to even indirectly give a bad image of Miles, while they don't give a shit about Peter. It would be cool to have Peter saving Miles by fighting Otto in his body, a reflection of what happened in the second game, but I'm sure they will not go that road and... yeah... they will disrespect Peter to make Miles and Cindy shine, just like what those lazy writer already have done in Spider-Man 2... On a side note, I think they will find a way to adapt the Superior Spider-Man with Otto but with a little twist : since an exchange of bodies is a little bit too... comic booky for their universe, I think they will have Otto take Peter's abilities, taking them away from him, and use them to change his own body. That way, Peter will simple be a regular guy, helping a little bit (replacing MJ... sigh) while Miles will be the only Spider-Man, teaming up with Cindy.

@@bluewings2 ohhhhh I understand you. And yeah these writers don’t understand how to make a character shine on their own without dragging down other pre established characters. Also I hate your idea about Otto taking away Peter’s abilities because that’s actually something Insomniac might do LOL, just to make Peter a normal guy lmfao.

I appreciate the effort you put into your critique of this fan fiction, but I disagree with your idea of Superior Miles. To me, the core of the Superior storyline is the dynamic between Otto and Peter, and how they influence each other. I get the concern of having Otto take over Peter’s body would be too similar to the evil Peter plot from Spider-Man 2, But it wasn’t very convincing in my opinion. Peter only acted like a jerk for most of the game, and only turned truly evil in the final battle. If you want to surprise the players, you could have them play as Peter during the fight, and show how Otto’s mind has corrupted him. Imagine Peter/Otto ruthlessly beating Miles to a pulp. That would be a shocking twist.

1) how has miles proven he was ready to take on the city? he died and peter had to convice otto to bring him back 2) peter leaving MJ and his child alone is never brought up again after the mid way point?? if nothing happened as a consequence then why was he so afraid to leave them in the first place. It's pretty clear he can do both according to this game he left to sort this problem and zero consequences arose. 3) there is a serious lack of emotional weight to the final act. Miles is the one who defeats the goblin who he has no personal connection to which feels wrong for an ending to a trilogy. 4)Green goblins motivation for being a villain is that he hates spider-man and wants revenge. This is evident from the post credit scene of SM2 when he asks for the spider-mens names and then he completely abandons this motivation. 5) This doesn't feel like a goodbye to peter at the end of his trilogy. He scarcely feels like a main character. I support that you only play as him briefly in the first half but you barely get to play as him in the second half. The plot feels like it is happening around him, he doesn't feel directly involved. Does peter actually do anything that affects the story other than not calling miles? 6) The story feels disjointed in the second half, stuff just happens AND THEN more stuff happens without reason 7) Miles and peter do not appear on screen together for almost the entire game??? Peter dodges his calls and then miles gets kidnapped then he returns from the mind swap right before the end of the game. The last two games have built up their relationship so well and then it gives us none of that in this final send off. 8) peter would not be frustrated if miles wasn't picking up his calls. He would be worried he wouldn't jump to anger like that. 10) MIles and peter don't have a character arc. Miles gets beaten up and mind swapped then appears right at the end to defeat the main antagonist. Peter acknowledges that he should have been there to help miles and apologises before the game ends and that is it? that's not a character arc, he makes a mistake, solves it and then leaves miles and silk to do their own thing despite it being clear neither of them are ready??? character arcs require the character to change and develop. Peter doesn't develop at all in this game. 11) seriously wasted the potential of the green goblin. His character is supposed to get inside spider-mans head and challenge his morality. He doesn't do any of that in this game. He is the goblin in name alone, he behaves nothing like his comic counterpart would. The goblins only purpose in this game as a plot device. Like I hate to say it man but you consistently mischaracterise these characters. I said it earlier but Peter would not leave miles alone like that EVER. He simply would not do that. Especially since he says in the last game that he is always there for miles if he ever needs to call him!!! 12)Why would the spider-men and the goblin fight? are they not trying to accomplish the same thing? they both want to stop otto. I can appreciate the story you were trying to tell but it does not fit with the material we were given at the end of the second game.

I appreciate the feedback. All the decisions I made in this prewrite were all to try to fit the type of characterisation created during the end of the last game (in which in some cases like Peter taking a step back, I don’t agree with). It was also very hard tbh to include Peter within the story without taking attention away from the fact that Miles is clearly becoming the main character and on top of that handling Normans story. In addition I will admit the plot does kind of “just happen” in points but if you want to see some of my better fiction writing with Spider-Man, my spectacular Spider-Man continuation and recent Spider-Man Cinematic Universe is 100% 10x better, I will admit. Either way, appreciate the comment.

I have an idea for hobgoblin to show up: Osborn hires one of the demons from the first game and Osborn creates goblin tech and the demon will call himself the..... hobgoblin ( also kinda random idea what if flash tompson is the hobgoblin and is losing his sanity living on the street and barely surviving)

I think it’d be very easy to have Hobgoblin be the overarching villain of that DLC, similar to how Hammerhead/Hammermane was for the first game.

Nice! Enjoyed different parts of the story but have a few complaints I wanted to share- Character Regression and Repeating Arcs - It feels like Peter and Miles are both repeating what they’ve already done. I don’t mind Miles being anxious and feel iffy about being the new Spider-Man but it’s something we already went through. I do understand that this is bigger scale, but even this could be proven untrue since he was struggling against Big Wheel (nice). Peter is also straight up ignoring Miles calls which was done in Spider-Man 2 through him constantly hanging up and not talking to him for a while. Also Peter thinking he wasn’t good enough to be spidey kind of goes against everything his symbiote arc was showing since that was his thought process then. -Goblin Army Nitpick of the goblin army but honestly it’s not the worse I just think it’d be too similar to the venom things - Superior Spider-Man The whole point of Superior Spider-Man isn’t for a supervillain to be taking control of Spider-Man and going on a rampage, it’s about Otto thinking he can be a better Spider-Man and doing that. I think it would be interesting if Otto thinks of all the villains Miles saved and think they shouldn’t be allowed to be free. Maybe he fights Li and others that we’ve seen through the years. Overall - Cool story just had a few nitpicks about it. 😊

Big wheel is THE menace ! XD You did a good job, I like a lot of your ideas. I'm 100% sure that they will not have Otto take over Miles body to not give him an indirect bad image, even if it's appropriate after having an evil Peter in 2, but I agree that it's a good idea and a nice reference to the comics "Life Story" they took a lot of inspiration of. I'm very cynical about what Insomniac is doing with Peter, I salute your script for trying to find some kind of compromise, but I'm 100% sure they will not show him as much respect nor show him as the amazing hero he is.

This is fantastic! It had Goblin, It had Superior Spider-Man, It involved Silk. I figured the reason they kept Harry alive was to either bring him back as Agent Anti-Venom or him turned into A goblin. Also that was something I noticed was Peter being Anti-Venom didn’t come into play at all here.

You may think Big Wheel is crazy but it is actually sad😢 In Miles Morales, in one of Phin’s Time Capsules, Big Wheel is there. You can adapt PTSD for Miles in this boss for Phin because they didn’t touch on it in Spiderman 2. Phin also had wheel attacks when she fought Miles. After, he can go to sleep and have both battles overlapped for a minute,making Miles more vulnerable for this movie.

i loved this story, i also like how you switched the whole superior spiderman from peter to miles. however, idk what it is about it. i don’t rlly see like, the connection? maybe i’m just a bit stupid. i just think it’d b way better to have peter as the superior spiderman instead of miles. maybe otto could lured out the og spiderman and done a switcharoo. ion know something like that.

Maybe Otto did it so to get back at Peter and he can't really do that if he's in his body so he'll make him suffer by making his student be painted in a bad light and ruining his relationship. Knowing Peter failed to uphold his responsibility to Miles as his Mentor will do more damage than taking over Peter ever could. It will also leave Miels feeling traumatic and violated which is something he can work through in the fourth game.

Only issues were very few boss battles which would be a step back, a lot of similarities between this and the 2nd game, with peter being distant and not replying. Last issue is this would end the series exactly where the 2nd game ended the series. Peter taking a step back and miles being the main spider-man. Loved the superior spider-man twist and the fact that we would have no idea if Miles is dead for good or not.

I would like to give sum proper and respectful criticism 1. The story format to make miles the main character for the first half and barely implement peter in the second seems like a bad idea from not only a story perspective but also a game play 2. Even with peter just trying to live his life and take a back seat, it seems quite out of character aswell as ignorant for him to not only leave miles by himself but also lacking the care and attention he needs 3. I feel as though you are Retredding old plot points and character arcs from past games like pete showing lack of care and miles having to prove himself 4. The story plot between the green goblin/norman and otto is quite rushed and takes a turning point to a lack luster ending 5. miles takes up an absurd amount of the story with it feels like pete and cindy are just simply back ground characters 6.The superior storyline takes away drags on and takes away from the true story of otto, norman and pete 7. It doesnt feel like a true spiderman/peter send off There is a couple more things i didnt think were worth mentioning because they were mostly covered in the other points. Overall this is a half baked script/prewrite for the SM3, but i understand its very difficult to write for something with such complex and intertwined storylines when theres not much to go off of besides the open ended set from the last game. But i think this prewrite could a very good concept if we acknowledge that some theses story beats are either unnecessary of could be developed more in potential dlc or spin off.

It’s not a good continuation. It’s rushing too much too quick. A miles story is fine. However, combining two stories wouldn’t be well perceived.

@@rogerkirby6883Makes 0 sense honestly. The Symbiote Suit wasn’t in 2018 Spider-Man because Insomniac wanted the Symbiote to have it’s own story, so why would they include the Superior Suit if they wanted it to have it’s own story??

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the Osborns, but I hate to see anyone lose a friend. After Norman, as Goblin is defeated and brought to Justice, Peter should be the one to save Harry and give him the Anti-Venom suit to rejoin the Spider-Team.

Interesting idea, however not a big fan of the story. I’d rather play as Peter Spider-Man more than Miles Morales. That’s just my opinion, but if it’s only Miles at Spider-Man in this game and Peter just kind of takes a backseat then I’d rather pass on playing the third game. And it’s not that I don’t like Miles Morales. He is a very good developed character, I just relate more to Peter.

I feel that switching superior spiderman from peter to miles gets rid of the emotional depths of the story if the final boss is the goblin then miles should if anything fight superior Spider-Man while peter fights in his head for control.By the end peter should be the one to take on goblin maybe similar to ultimate spiderman

Peter wasn't nerfed at all as both Peter and Miles got equal amount of struggles. Peter beated more baddies then Miles ever did. Peter didn't always need Miles' or MJ's help as he did mostly on his own then teaming. He beated Kraven, Lizard, Venom, Scream and Wraith. Miles only beated Mysterio and Mr Negative.

@@Shahriyararin63 idk what game you played, in almost all cutscenes peter gets his ass handed to him. peter doesn’t defeat one person besides wraith… and that is literally yuri. peter would’ve never won without miles or mj which is just laughable. miles beat every villain in this game which is just annoying.

@@gball6755 Miles only beated Mysterio and Mr Negative. Peter beated more baddies then Miles. He beated Lizard, Kraven, Wraith, and Scream with Miles not around. Miles gets beaten too. He was tossed by Sandman, beaten by Scorpion, Kraven (off screen) and Venom. He was also captured by Kraven and his goons. Peter was the one that final blow Venom as he was the one that fought Venom the most while Miles barely fought and MJ was busy with the symbiotes and saved Miles only once.

@@MaximeLeTripleBG ok here it is The game starts from miles's perspective as we fight many gangsters equipped with advanced tech and robots in a very chaotic new york city that looks like it was attacked by terrorists but miles was suddenly struck in a massive explosion that annihilated the top of the building miles was fight on a miles slowly lose consciousness he saw a giant glider in the air Cut back to 3 months earlier we see miles helping Peter in tech development to impress some investors to make them invested in the Emily may foundation that was destroyed in spider man 2 harry was still in coma and Peter would visit him every week as he thinks that he was responsible for what happened to harry and the city in the last game Before this game (in a potential dlc of spider man 2) Peter was still in contact with wraith and they were tracking Cletus Kassidy after he stole some of the symbiote and miles convinced him to stop carnage as he is the only one who can Peter would fight carnage along with miles and wraith but they will soon realise that destroying the hive didn't kill all symbiote and carnage was creating a new hive Peter and miles tried to fight and defeat carnage but they were barely holding back as he was much stronger than them Peter realised the only way to destroy the hive and carnage with it is to use his full anti venom power but after he uses the anti venom to it fullest extent to destroy the hive he would being slowly losing and this will be time trailed boss fight with carnage where you have to destroy the symbiote before we lose anti venom (which means Peter would no longer have anti venom in the third game) Peter in the 3rd game would serve as miles's guy in the chair along with gankie and this is time when miles would be attacked by a robot named spider slayers and after defeating them miles will go to a place named Smyth industries which was ordered my city police to create a specific robot to stop spider man incase if he goes nuts like in the last game and this is further solidified by the fact that symbiote attack caused in the last game Then miles will begin to notice a new set of villains in new york city (boomerang, beetle, overdrive, speed demon and hydro man) miles would get exhausted fighting them at some point and will also notice that they steal tech from oscorp related to neurological activity which is known when we sneak into oscorp thinking to catch them and we also find out that Norman is the one who funded Smyth industries to create the slayers A few days later mj will inform peter about doc ock degrading condition in the prison and when Peter goes to the raft to see doc ock we see this mind neuro activity is very low as if he is in a coma Peter would think about this for a while before brushing his thoughts and returning home 🏠 after reaching home Peter would ask Dr Conners to meet him at his office to discuss about a potential cure for harry he would go on to reveal that harry mind was severely damaged by venom in his final fight so to save harry then must find a way to increase his neuro activity allowing to heal faster but he would reveal that only otto (who Dr Conners was friends with in college) has such kinda of study but Peter knows about otto's condition Later Peter would be informed by gankie as miles was busy that the lab he previously worked at in spider man ps4 was showing some weird signals like an energy transmission tower Peter would visit the place but gets attacked by a robot that was controlled by otto who is angry at Peter for abandoning him and this would end up as a boss fight on top a building close to the lab and thankfully Peter brought his og suit but Peter would lose the fight and doc ock says since he was the one who caused him to fall sick by abandoning him he will now make sure to do the same to peter and swaps minds with Peter and Peter will end up trapped in the data banks in otto's lab

I disagree that miles wouldn’t be ready. He’s quite stronger than Peter and his own game was about him being ready. Now making him not able to save the city alone seems like character regression

It’s not rlly about being strong tho. Most of being Spider-Man is the psychological barrier you have to face to be Spider-Man. Miles can’t handle the emotional burden of permanently being the only Spider-Man. In his game he knew it was jus a week or however long it was it was temporary. But now it’s forever. He’s scared and we know emotions effect their performances.

@@Dagger722 miles in Spider-Man 2 kept up with a Peter in a symbiyote suit. Miles is stronger than base Peter and on the level of symbiyote Peter. It’s just a fact
