Not necessarily Kennedy but he could be avoiding others sitting with Kennedy like Alan and Boakye Agyarko. I also think his intentions may be far from what we’ve thought due to the positioning of his sitting area against that of Kennedy’s. I can’t imagine the president going round greeting almost everyone but sometimes his demeanor and facial expressions says it all. He needs to check that. My take

That is the convention with gatherings like that. He didn't go there because Alan and Boakye Agyarko were there with Ken, so if he goes to shake hands with Ken and ignores them that will be an issue.
