Can you help me better understand pricing for what I'm asking for? I've got people dropping prices for my request but I don't want my ignorance to allow a bad deal. My request is : I'm looking to make shorts using my lyrics. I'm asking for someone to create an instrumental using my acepella and transcript of said lyrics. (The instrumental does not need to exceed the time of the lyrics in the short so not a full songs instrumental) I'd like them to use my audio to combine with their tailor-made instrumental. ( mixing and mastering, I'm assuming )

Pricing for a Recording Engineer for a song?

To be honest; as a mastering engineer I'm one part removed from a lot of recording engineers; but from what I've learnt in conversation and discussion with other producers; around a 600-800 a day budget with a competent engineer is what you're looking at.
