It was a very calculated fight. 10 minutes of walking around in round 1 at 600 pounds completely fatigued him. Bringing him down meant he was not getting up again and all he could do was lie on his stomach. All that lubricating sweat made for an easy escape. The punches did not do much. It was the fatigue and shortness of breath that made him tap out.

“This is like Jaws. This is like Jaws. This is like Jaws”. Love the commentary track here. Like a movie, done after the movie was made. Huge credit to both fighters. Takase defeated Jaws, and also beat Anderson Silva. Not too bad, being undersized in both fights. And Yarbrough wow, amazing stamina. Most people who reach 600 lbs never make it out of bed.

The most "... silly setup ..." was what I believe I heard. In this situation one has to use ones own advantage over the opponents disadvantage. Odd that the 'boxing' referee only urged Takase to go into the fight. Why shouldn't Yarborough be urged as much as well? Suddenly, as a consequence of Takases attack, the odds where nearly 51-49 until it finally tipped over in the favour of Takase. Until then, from a physical perspective, there was a slightly stable balance, which became very unstable and tipped into a very unpredictable and very stable balance. "... silly setup ...".

It’s not about being big or small it’s all about knowledge of what’s your participating in if you know more than the other you will win 90% of the time he had a better strategy

Statement from someone who’s never fought, professionally or otherwise. It’s quite the opposite. 90% of the time, size matters. This matchup is an outlier because yarboroughs size is SO massive that it’s a detriment, not a benefit.

Did the commentators really have to rip him to pieces for the entire thing? Imagine how much shit that guy has put up with in his life already ☹️

They’re being entertaining in a very low action fight. It’s their job. Commenting on a fighters physique is also part of their job. 2 for 1

That's what you get for fighting a guy literally a quarter of your size. Hard to respect that.
