Hi!! I performed in this show so I can tell you what it’s about! I hope you liked it because we loved performing it!!! It’s basically about the emotions behind a relationship. (This relationship can be interpreted by the viewer or performer as a partner, someone in your family, a friend, etc) we start the show very closed off like we have a wall built up. As the first half of the show keeps going that wall is slowly brought down and we explore being sassy, happy, pleasant, hopeful. Then towards the end of the show we start to barely hang on, and when the moment comes where golden fabric is starting to be pulled out is when we explode with emotion begging the person in the relationship not to go (hence the soundtrack screaming “don’t go”). All of the gold fabric represents our emotions and how they are flooding onto the floor, which is a reason why there is a big difference between the color of the floor and the fabric/uniform. Finally the end of the show is us pulling ourselves together and putting that wall back up. It was an incredibly emotional time for all of us on the floor and we loved it so much, and it’s more emotional now that we know that pride won’t be coming out next season.
