Pride was glorious! Fedor, Silva, Mirco, Randleman, Coleman, Sakuraba, Hunt, Bob Sapp, Don Frye, Big Nog, Fujita, Chuck Liddell, Rampage, etc etc. Epic battles in amazing venues . . .twenty years later and now tears come to my eyes.

Randleman was so explosive OMG!! he relied on wrestling only during his time but if he would of focused more on his striking ..............omg we can imagine. I'm very grateful to have seen him in that time of life. RIP Monster

He had so much natural gifts and lost quite a few bouts he shouldn't have. I remember a comment a poster made a long time ago about him, that if you could control Randleman in his fights with a PS2 controller he'd be an undefeated champion.

This fight is one reason why Mauro is the best commentator. Amongst the craziness, he was still able to pull it together to give the audience context as to why this win was so big.

Did it, though? If you check his record, Mirko was far from broken after that first fight w Gonzaga. Only a stroke could take Cro Crop out, and that was only 4 years ago.

Crazy that it was the mostly wrestler Randleman who threw one of the very best left hooks in MMA ever ha ha. It was perfect. I rooted more for Crocop, and mostly, wanted a great bout so I was kind of POed at the time at how it ended so quickly, but wow, it was so perfect.

Kevin put his right hand protecting his head from kick. Kevin lower his hand little and Crocop was about to kick and Kevin immediatly strike with left hand so fast that Crocop has no chance to react. Even I have slow motion it to see it.

It's possible that Mirko slowed down in reaction and speed in the first power comparison. However, I also think that Randleman's power and speed exceeded him.

"KEVIN RANDLEMAN HAS JUST KNOCKED OUT MIRKO CRO COP!" I love how crazy Mauro gets, but it was shocking that the fight went this way. Cro Cop was a killer, and once he found the right range, everyone though Randleman would be a dead man. One good punch stunned him, and then the elbow just knocks the lights out.

What a match. Arguably the best of the best at the 2 most dominant fighting style to ever be brought to MMA : wrestling and kickboxing. And the wrestler won via punches because the kickboxer was ready for another takedown attempt.
