That Hamilton Khaki was made on purpose for the movie Interstellar. It became so popular that Hamilton made it commercially available calling it Khaki Field Murph, like the character Murph from the movie, Matthew McConaughey's character's daughter that saved mankind. Awesome simple beautiful watch.

Nico could be a watch advisor on movie sets. And if the watch doesn't fit the scene, he can sell them one from Pride and Pinion. Just a thought

The non production model calatrava the driver is wearing in “drive” is a custom piece for the movie. Around 3 pieces were made for the sake of filming. The driver has to stop time periods of exactly 5 minutes, because that’s the time frame he gives his clients to return to the car. He easily could do that with a racing chronograph etc but chooses to do that with the stop seconds function because the watch is meant to hint at his character. It clearly is meant to be a family heirloom piece with great value for him and is being used as a plot device multiple times. It’s by far the most intimate thing we even get to know about the whole character. So not a fake watch but a custom piece specially made for the movie which is awesome by the way.

I'm not afraid to admit that Nico pulled me into the watch game. Bought my first automatic watch and have my eyes on another one. Ditched the Apple Watch and haven't missed it one minute.

Glenngarry Glen Ross was made in 1992. There is nothing in the movie that suggest that it is set in the late 1960's. In fact, Alec Baldwin drives a modern BMW with a flashing alarm system to office to give his famous speech.

I just recently got into watches. I wasn't sure what to expect when I decided to start watching KZfaq channels on watches. But I have to say so far all of the channels I've found every single guy and girl are ALL really chill, down to earth and really informative and honest. I was expecting shit posting about cheap watches like g-shock etc. But all of you literally talk about the strengths and weaknesses of all brands cheap and expensive. I'm SO glad I got into this hobby. And Nico of course if my favorite!!

That JLC perpetual is a big step up from the Rotary that Cumberbatch wore as Sherlock. Hamilton made two watches specifically for Interstellar, that field watch and an aviation watch; both are somewhat oversized for today's tastes, but appear better on camera I guess. In Men in Black, Agent J (Tommy Lee Jones) is a big Elvis fan, and so wears a black dial Hamilton Ventura.

I would love to see some old school westerns for some historical watches to be reacted to. No idea of pocket watches are a bit out of Nico's special knowledge though... Also, maybe the Godfather films, Gatsby, singing in the rain I bet the cool characters in those would have some fun watches.

I think they’re an important brand to the watch industry, certainly for British watch making and the two brothers are inspiring. The Big Short was set in late 2008 to 09. There were several other great watches in that film not just that scene. I’ve read that the watch Steve Carrell is wearing is his personal Submariner. You should review watches of Billions and Succession. Insane watches in both boy.

They tend to remove any glass from anything in tv and movies to avoid glare and reflections. Usually windows, character's glasses, ect. do not have any actual glass in them. I suspect that last watch had no glass in it.

You should cover Paul Newmans OTHER Rolex that no one talks about from ‘The Color of Money’ with a young Tom Cruise. There is a scene which has a great close up of the watch too.
