Another really interesting video. Quite amazing how much prep work and precautions were taken on this project. All the deflectors and screens really show how controlled of a demo this was. Keep up the great videos!

I hauled salt from this mine back in the early 2000's. Looks alot different now than it did back then.

Quite the preparation! Would it be easier to pick-up rebar with a junk yard type magnet?

It would be, but that only makes sense if the excavator has a quick coupler. Usually PDI does have Oilquick on their machines, but on this job, the two machines didn‘t have it.

@@tim19621 The salt mine under Lake Peigneur had been there since 1919, until a drilling rig punctured the floor of the lake in 1980. Longevity is no guarantee of safety.

There is another question there..Why would they drill in a lake . I live 80 miles from it. It is clearly marked where it is by bouys in the water
