This past weekend we had a priest visit who is a missionary in Haiti. He told us his life has been threatened during this latest wave of political upheaval. The recent earthquake has stripped Haitians of the most basic supplies. He openly said he fears returning but it is his mission. God bless and watch over Fr. Tom Hagan.

Every Mass, when Father prays for the pope and bishops, I say a prayer for the exiled, imprisoned, and kidnapped or hidden bishops and priests around the world.

Priests are going "underground" and are being "cancelled" not only because of corrupt government policies, but also because they refuse to remain silent about wrongdoing on the part of Church leaders. The Coalition of Cancelled priests provides examples of just such courageous and unjustly treated priests and even seminarians.

From Catholic Culture - During the 17th century the Christian faith was brought to Korea through the zeal of lay persons. From the very beginning these Christians suffered terrible persecutions and many suffered martyrdom during the 19th century. Today's feast honors a group of 103 martyrs. Notable of these were Andrew Kim Taegon, the first Korean priest, and the lay apostle, Paul Chong Hasang. Also among the Korean martyrs were three bishops and seven priests, but for the most part they were heroic laity, men and women, married and single of all ages. They were canonized by Pope Saint John Paul II on May 6, 1984. Let us ask these brave souls to pray for the Church in this present time of persecution

Praying for more faithful Priest's. It's horribly sad to experience denial of receiving Communion on the tongue and told Not to kneel when receiving. St. Padre Pio's feast day . Yesterday I just attended Fr. Michael Barry's SS.CC healing Mass at St. Dorothy's Glendora Calif. Pastor Ron who was formally a married with a son, who forbidded Fr. Too many of the US bishops give in to the secular world these days. Pray for more good and holy priests like you Father Goring.

This is why we purchased a travel Mass kit, hosts, and sacramental wine to keep at the house. Our priests do not need to be carrying this equipment as they head to secret Masses. We must be ready to protect these men at all costs!

I didn't know that about St John Vienni! My granddaughter was born on his feast day, but until then, he wasn't even on my radar. Anyway, I need to pray more for our priests! I'm really blessed to have as our pastor, Ft Scott Winchell, who is probably one of the holiest priests I've ever had the pleasure to know. He does the Latin Mass (although only once a month just because most people here have no idea what they're missing), he's brought back the altar rails, & he has encouraged Communion on the tongue, but then covid hit ... Oh & he's a Marine veteran. He's the only priest I've ever seen who holds his finger & thumb together after the consecration, so as to not lose any particles - not just at the TLM, but the N.O. Mass as well. So these good priests - they're out there! We just need to pray for all our priests - especially the bad ones. Apparently, the demons in hell torment priests more than anyone. 😕

God Bless you Father Mark Goring. Every time i have given in to something that was not what i was suppose to do it always led to unhappiness and depression knowing i took the wrong path. Even if it provided temporary relief in some way. It is better to suffer while in love with Christ then to turn my back and end up distancing myself from God. Oh how i learned this the hard way. My home is a refuge for these persecuted priests. Let the Domestic Church , the families, open her doors and hearts in order to keep and protect and guard these brave men who speak the Truth, who are willing to witness to the Truth unto death. It will be our lot as well to suffer persecution and even death in order to protect them. Do we still not see the historic pattern that is unveiling here ????
