Part of today’s announcement was confirming that they will transform similar to mega evolutions. You gain primal energy by beating primal raids (or collect the energy through research tasks), then evolve an existing kyogre or groudon. Their primal level will increase each time you evolve them as well, so essentially exactly like mega evolutions. One major difference seems to be that kyogre and groudon boost 3 types each (kyogre: water, electric, and bug ; groudon: fire, grass, and ground).

Pokemon go kinda needs to add new features into the game at this point to make the game more fun. Like ditto breeding PokeStop, 2vs2 mode , fishing rod water type capture mode and Pokemon Contest mode just to add more fun stuff to do

If there could be a Go Tour: Sinnoh event that could happen in early 2024, I wonder if that event could introduce Dialga and Palkia's Origin Forms (from Pokemon Legends: Arceus) to Pokemon Go.
