Prime week for me this year was crazy for the amount of overflow that we had! Think the highest route I had was 16 bags and 40 overflow which equates to around 140/150 deliveries. Actually started watching your videos as I was starting to move from DPD into Amazon which helped a lot 👍 keep up the good work pal smashing it 👊

Do you prefer Amazon compared to dpd then? What's the difference in workload/route sizes?

@@freddiekb1004 I can sort of answer that for you. DPD is a pain if you get behind. Each parcel is allocated an hour when you first set off in the morning, so you have to keep with the flow (you have these little bars that are green, yellow, or red. Once you're in Red (you can't find an address, then you start panicking). Likewise, you can't leave parcels if not stated. Amazon however, I find is much better because you can skip stops while on them, and no panicking to keep to a set time. Also, the parcels are almost always smaller and a lot more letters. I find it easier @ Amazon but I would say you have more drops.

@@freddiekb1004 if I’m honest for the flexibility and work I prefer Amazon 100%. Main difference really is that with Amazon your on a day rate ( not sure if this varies with the amount with different DSP’s ) where we with DPD your paid per parcel and collection that you do. I also find that with DPD they out a lot of unneeded pressure on drivers due to eta’s etc where as with Amazon there really isn’t any of that only if your falling really behind on your route. Route sizes really does depend on the area for both companies really and does vary from day to day with the amount you have.

I do Amazon flex and I find it pretty easy as I worked for courier firm for years and always finish a 3 hr slot in 2~ hours including the travel from home to the warehouse. I only do the flex if the rate is good but I notice a lot of other flex drivers accept the basic rate like £39 for 3 hours which I never accept. The lowest I take is the £45 for 2 hours but those are 8-10pm runs. I guess as so many people just want the work they accept the low value blocks but in the long run just means that Amazon will make the block values lower
