Yeah, not a fan of those lightweight trucks lol. There’s pros and cons for both sides but it really is how well you work and if you can keep track of spending etc. I know some folks just want to drive and not have to worry about the business side of things.

@@EKMTransportThat how I feel about starting out, but when thinking long term I think it’s very beneficial to go lease or Owner op once you have some experience & know have good money management skills.

Honestly, not sure. I’m gonna be lease. I know that they get different incentives and all that but they get paid per mile.. so idk how that works out for them. Plus they typically have insurance coming out, taxes etc.

@@Jamesgeeee Ah yes, because when someone tells you they're in training, they MUST not have any experience right? Do you think that every trainer in prime has all the knowledge or something? There are many trainers at prime who dont train to help, they train for those big checks. Prime Inc itself is a great company but with the shortage of trainers, they are hurting.

As team yes. As solo expect 800-1200. I was team driver for 6 months and recently solo 4 weeks. Gonna do tnt soon because solo ain't it at least for company side.

Well.. every new trainee has to do 50k miles. I just missed the 30k training miles before I showed up. If you don’t have the kind of experience they’re looking for, you have to do 50k. So I was in 48 foot flatbed tractor with 10 speed transmission but that wasn’t good enough. So I have to do 50k.

Okay sorry I posted that before I watched the whole video. You said there is no credit check. I don't have bad or good credit. Basically none. So it be based on the length of your lease basically? What exactly is 70 percent of the freight? How much it the freight is the question. Thanks again.

@@JoeKavey so if you do a standard lease, it’s commonly called a walk away lease, meaning you can turn the truck in and leave anytime or switch to company any time. Your weekly pay from tnt training depends on what you have coming out and what you choose for taxes. So yours may be more, idk. For lease, when they say 72 percent, say a load is 1000 dollars total, you’ll get 72 percent of that total. That’s just an example but you see what I mean. If you decide to do lease purchase through prime in the future, no there isn’t a credit check. Just down payment which gets lower every year you’re there I believe. I don’t know much about the lease purchase but you should be able to find info on it somewhere. In tnt, the more hours you drive/work, the more you get paid but no matter what, assuming you’re not on home time, you’ll get 900 a week gross. That’s pre tax, pre insurance, etc.

@@JoeKavey while you’re in tnt you’re considered a company driver. So you’ll have taxes taken out, if you choose the medical, dental, vision etc you’ll have that taken out, if you used the 200 loan they gave you they’ll take that back out, if you had to do the sleep apnea test, they’ll take that out too. It’s 900 gross.. so mine was low for awhile but now that I got it all paid back, it should normalize a little bit. I’m expecting 6-700 a week now. Maybe more?

Thanks brother I appreciate it! So as long as you paid the ticket, no it won’t mater.. but you need to make sure you put it down on the online application. Make sure all contact information for previous jobs is correct. Then you need to print it out! Take it with you to orientation.. they’re gonna give you a paper application to fill out.. everything neeeds to match what you put on the online app you printed out..

@@MikeJones-ne5ko your recruiter will be able to help you with specific questions. And no, you have to remember these loads you’re taking cost money and some of them worth well over a million dollars.. they need to be sure they’re getting quality drivers.
