middle guy is right, when you are used to have your feet on the ball, you develop muscle memory and that's why you don't need to constantly keep your eyes on the ball but instead focus on your surrounding to make plays and score goals.

i mean pros still look at the ball when dribbling between players and in between touches they keep their head up look at surroundings my wall paper is basically messi looking at the ball while dribbling. The trick is to know when to keep your head up and when to focus on ball cause if you are surrounded by players their target is the ball so if you look at the ball you are gonna see opposing players' foot make a move to the ball so you can dribble them. But it is also important to scan the field when you have distance between opposing players to make a pass to shoot

Neymar did get fouled in the World Cup 2014 Brazil lost 7-1 against Columbia. Juan Zuniga dug his knee into the back of Neymar, sending him to the ground. He had to be taken out of the World cup. According to Neymar the doctors said that there was Good news and Bad News ; the bad news was that he could not play the 2014 World Cup and the good new was that if the injury was 2 inches off then he would be paralyzed

The thing the guy said about looking just at the ball is a really good perception for someone who doesn't understand much of football. Actually a great player will look at the ball ofc, but he'll also always take a brief second to look at the position of other players. The ones who are always looking at the ball the entire time aren't that good.

You look for opponents players in front of you more than the ball ⚽️ because professional football players knows where the ball is by their sense…like you have to master it before you try to dribble, players like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, Mbappé they don’t just look at the ball all the time but to look for where the opponent is so you can run to open space and when you dribbles it creates some space where you can score goals but you have to be quick though.

The right guy is right, in football players watch the ball because possession is never guaranteed as opposed to basketball or american football where you retain the ball with your hands. Even if someone has the ball you just need to touch it to fuck his possession, that makes it easier to trick defenders too.
