They pair very well with a BTR7 so for $200 + $109 I've got a nice set rivaling my older $500 to even $1k IEMs

Sounds like a 7hz legato with slightly less bass but more clarity in the midrange/ better treble extension and less sub bass, which is a great alternative if you want bass but not at the expense of the midrange to much

I got these in today and they are my first ever iem. Holy Shit they sound good. I have a ridiculous amount of higher end Bluetooth earbuds and they dont hold a candle to these. I know you said these arent wuite basshead iems but from what im used to these are basshead for me lol

It was airy with some sibilance but not harsh or shouty, definitely forward and intimate in the mix with some warmth.

Do the Quartet BA’s add more sparkle and detail in the treble compared to the Legato ?, or is the Quartet just brighter like eq’ing the Legato top end ? Cheers in advance 😉

If you like more sub bass get Melody. For mid bass get Quartet. Quartet has nicer shells obviously! I can't say which I prefer because I haven't listened to either one for a while and never a/b compared them (not at home so can't do right now).

Hi, great review ! One question: you say the silicone tips are a little too small for you. That's my problem always, too ! Also the L versions always could be a little bigger for me. Do you have a recommendation, which silicone tips are bigger than al the average L of XL tips ? Thanks in advance !

Muy buen video , quisiera preguntarte si el quartet tiene mas bajos que los ikko oh10? ( cantidad ) , tengo los legato pero su sonido es muy cerrado , muy comprimido , por eso uso mis ikko oh10 pero necesito algo mas de bajos , el quartet me daria eso? Saludos desde Chile .

After getting the Credenza I've been interested in trying Kiwi Ears' other models. What's its sound signature compared to the Ikko OH10? As much as I love mine I'm thinking of selling them. I like resin shells because I don't have to worry about them smashing together and ruining the finish. I can also put them down on the counter/desk/whatever and not worry and damage.

Oh10 is v-shaped, Quartet U -shaped. Oh10 has more bass and larger stage but quartet has forward mids and vocals.

Do you feel like the double DD approach is worth it? I mean, can you really notice any sound quality improvement? Kiwi Ears has definitely done something unique with the Quartet. Nice configuration, tuning and design for a good price range.

The double DD approach IS worth it, IMHO. It allows the manufacturers to employ bass that is textured, nimble and quick - much faster than single DDs and still rumble with the authority and dynamics needed to keep up with (and balance out) quicker sounding BAs and ESTs.

The SA6-style tuning feels laid-back and smooth, and the bass is definitely fun. However, I wish that higher quality BA's were used, the higher frequencies have a scratchiness to them that becomes distracting if you're aware of it. I have access to nicer stuff, so I might be a bit spoiled at this point... If you showed these to a random person, they would love them, but audio nerds who are actively listening for technical limitations may be disappointed

Completely different tonality. Pr2 is very lean and uncolored. Quartet is smoother,warmer and more natural.

I got these but feel disapointed. My OG qkz vk4 sound better. What do you recommend at this price range? Maybe hz Legato? or should I spend a little more? I listen to heavy metal/instrumental music mainly.

@@PrimeAudioReviews thanks for you reply. Well is not better but very similar and is just a $10 IEM so I didn't feel Quartet was an upgrade in sound. I tried the switches and I like both down but still not a remarkable upgrade.

Yo tengo el legato y el oh10, te recomiendo el oh10, tiene buenos bajos y una escena sonora bien amplia, el legato su sonido es muy cerrado ,muy comprimido, oscuro, suenan como in-ear de 5 dolares.

The switches on my quartet are smaller than usual. At first I was having trouble trying to change them using a paper clip but once I swapped that with a proper tool from another iem it was much easier. You need something super thin with these switches.

I received my Kiwi Ears Quartet on June 10th, and I am dismayed that I cannot discern the difference when using different switch combinations. By default, both the bass and treble switches are set to the "up" position. Can someone confirm whether this is normal or not? Do they only make subtle differences, and is it possible that I am unable to recognize them, or do the switches actually make a noticeable difference?

@@kejah7489 they're both on by default so I guess that's the sound style I'm experiencing. I would say I'm used to the bass right now. I'm really liking the vocal presentation of this IEM
