In my opinion, the sequel has two problems: 1. Too many plots. The first was simple: it was the story of Akeem looking for his great love. Here there are problems between father and son, father and daughter, brother and sister, between Akeem and General Izzi, plus a love story. Too many plots and none well developed. 2. Center the story in Zamunda, which is an imaginary kingdom. The first was humorous, showing the inequalities and contradictions of the American way of life.
