Honestly it wouldn't take much. Most of the multiverse Marks join Nolan. There's no end to examples of our own history he could show Mark that would convince him if he had the time.

Mark is very different in the alternate universe, he seems more of an outright sociopath even before these events. Plus Robot is still in his original form, not his Rex body.

With the materials they were using, there was probably nothing their armour could have done to resist any attacks from Omni-Man. If anything not wearing any armour would be more advantageous. Less encumbering.

I love how in the practiced speech he does say he loves Mark and Debbie more than…well whatever he was going to say. Had he just chose his words carefully in the heat of the moment and really emphasized that to Mark, he probably would’ve gotten him and maybe even Debbie on his side

He's got nothing but formal clothes and prrobably has the best training of all of the agents there. The other agents were wearing combat armor. Said armor was completely useless against Omni-Man but was still cumbersome for the agents to wear and move around in.
