Hey Chad, I’m just curious if you can do a video for demonstration on the Inductance feature? I’m digging the Spot welding feature for auto body and multiple tacks anyways, Thanks again Brother for sharing this new PrimeWeld MIG 285. Cheers 🍻

I’m gonna have to use the no offence comment too lol. I have been a welder fitter for 35 years now. And it drives me nuts when I see guys dragging their mig gun when welding. (Just saying from experience lol) but you can make a much better looking weld pushing the weld puddle. You can control the the width and height much better pushing than pulling. Everybody I see using 220 volt machines always weave their welds so why not push the weld to control it way better. Just my two cents and remember weld how you feel comfortable lol. Great review on the machine. I picked up the tig 225 and am loving it and I’m very interested in this mig machine. I do have a yes welder mig 250 pro and am loving it for mig welding aluminum and mild steel. But I’m very greedy on amps lol and 285 is better than 250 lmao!!!

Kinda surprised the duty cycle is still comparable to the 180. Still looks like a real nice machine though!

It’s is very nice! Only complaints is some of the settings but I do believe they have those taken care of

I want this machine but don't think I need the power. Thinking about going with the mts 200 and later this year the tig 225.

If you’re planning on picking up the 225, then you could go with the 180 and be fine

@@ChadMyers73 right now I'm standing up a side buisness with a focus on bbq smoker building but will do whatever work comes my way. Haven't done much if any of aluminum work but want to get into. More welding and fabbing I can do the more jobs I can work. So the 180 huh. Initially that's what I was going to get because it comes with the spool gun (kinda weird the other mig welders don't if you ask me). Right now I'm using a titanium unlimted 200 from harbor freight and honestly it does a pretty good job but I'm wanting to go with primeweld because of the customer service

@@BullseyeMetalWerks yeah I’ve done 1/2” muti pass with my 180 and it comes with a spool gun for aluminum. With that being said if your happy with your HF 200 use it and pick up the tig 225 1st.

No offense but you got 285 mig welder and tested it on 1/4 and 16 ga? My Forney 140 does that on 110v ! If I got the machine for free I would be a bit more grateful and thus diligent to show it to others. Talk less, show more, that machine can do a lot more.

None taken. I plan on doing more I like to do smaller segments to keep people engaged. If you make the videos to long they loose interest

@@ChadMyers73 Sounds good. Thanks for the feedback. This could be absolutely fantastic machine for the buck but that complicated electronics with bizarre settings absolutely ruins it. I hope they'll come with second generation as they did with mig 180, and it will be much simpler. I was absolutely set on buying it, untill I have seen that...
