brumsterbrum You mean Disco remix, the original nasty bass line & chunky guitar rhythm & riffs made it funky and only the piano and Prince's vocals holds this version up because the rest is watered down, I'm mean it's ok but "Funky" NOT That aspect been removed from this version, which were the key elements that makes the song Funky All that was done here was taking the piano & vocal version and placing it on a Disco Groove and no it's not an official remix from the 80's or there would've been better arrangements on the remix

To me it has an undercurrent piano and groove that feels funky to me. As a massive Prince fan I know how ‘funky’ he is but music is in the ear of the listener. It makes me feel funky. Is it relevant if it’s an official mix or not? Prince may or may not have liked it that we don’t know. However if I feel it’s funky it’s funky to me, I don’t really need anyone to tell me different although I appreciate your view. 👍🏻

Ear Candy are selling this on 12 inch vinyl ! I'll be getting my copy from there. Screw download & sound cloud digital rubbish. Vinyl = Just the way Prince would have wanted it.
