I am listening to Mayte’s book on Audible, and she discusses this appearance, so I paused the book to see if I could find it on KZfaq. Thanks! Larry and Tina Graham had been talking to them for the past months about Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower, but Mayte wasn’t buying it. She said that during this appearance with Sinbad a “fire alarm went off” in her head, because she realized Prince was on his way to being brainwashed (but she didn’t use this term) by Larry. Her heart sank while she sat there. She squeezed Prince’s hand, but Prince stayed totally focused on Larry. She said she maintained a frozen smile until Sinbad said “Looks like we are about to go to church” and took a commercial break. She thought maybe Prince was seeking comfort from Larry because Prince was grieving their recent miscarriage, and she was hoping Larry would leave their lives when his collaboration with Prince reached its normal conclusion. But instead, she had to accompany Prince to weekly meetings with Larry and Tina, and then they began living in Prince and Mayte’s guest house. She describes how the teachings were alienating her and were not her truth. It ultimately distanced Prince from her, and Prince began spending time with Manuela Testolini. Manuela was willing to attend all the meetings and became a Jehovah’s Witness. Prince began to only want to talk about the teachings with Mayte. And he believed that the death of their first child, Amir, was Prince’s punishment from God for how Prince lived his life when he was younger. It is tragic.

Please these are my personal opinions only based UPON tidbits of FACTS that I have obtained 😢 I ask GOD to forgive me for being 💯%against MAYTE for not sticking like glue with Prince 😪🤔

GOD doesn't punish and judge any like what MAYTE described 👎🏾 related to that written word says that is "what you were " your sins are cast into the sea of forgiveness " thus that is what God says.🙏🏾once one is transcended in the truths of the written word and Transformed to repentance that is how GOD OPERATES🙏🏾🤔.He doesn't forever condemns... If that were so none would be saved he doesn't condemn as such... Jesus blood 🩸 paid the sin debt for our human imperfect sorry BEHINDS that debt was paid in full on the torture stake 😪 Jesus didn't come down... Now MAYTE says that PRINCE was teaching her about the written words of God wouldn't one want to listen to her husband and probably the both would receive a comfort healing from the loss of their son together too if MAYTE as she said was attending meetings with Prince surely Manuela wouldn't have been able to weasel way into Prince life nor would LG have had such an influence Prince and MAYTE would've had SPIRITUAL quality time with each other.. Horses kick together when there is an enemy attack asses on the other hand will kick and stomp each other to death Mayte was the ass that allowed for the enemy snakes to even be in the atmosphere of their home 🤔 anyhow I love me some Prince smart man he was to be headship over his wife sad☹️ that it didn't work out for the both of them it really breaks my heart 💔 Whatever people every one has an opinion and the statements made are just that my options 🤔🙏🏾💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🕊️🕊️ REST IN PROTECTED PERFECT PEACE as you await your forever 💫 reward 💫✨🌟

@@druscillalee2183 agree. Mayte was a puppet didnt have a mind of her own, listening to her mother telling her to do what she was told instead of standing her ground, no man or woman wants a relationship with a person that cant think, and she wasnt to spiritual at all, that was another problem. Manuela didnt weasel anywhere, that is what Prince wanted. As maytag is older she realized all her mistakes hopefully with this new fiance she will do a lot better. God knows our heart etc I always said there marriage was doomed she had a work relationship that's why her fairytale is such it was nothing romantic about it.

It's so hard to accept prince died such a beautiful spirit and he truly was a advocate for artist getting their fair share and treated right.Very rare to find a honest person in the business he was in and with everything that was against him making it in the music business he had the will to fight for his rights and other artist.I don't think some artist understood what he was trying to tell them about owning your own masters, your own work but eventually I think everyone saw where he was coming from. Why would u be a slave for someone else directing the gift that god gave u knot men and prince stood firm on his belief starting at a young age,am sure people couldn't believe what they was seeing from this young artist he was gifted, talented, realy smart and knew the business and what he didn't he made sure to educate himself on every expect of the business,u can't help but to respect him and the other artist out here, that business they are in is knot easy and there's alot of cut throat people in it looking to capitalize off their hard work and talented that god gave them.I hope artist will always look at prince and look deep into the busines man he was and how he spoke up for the artists to have rights he was a very, very, smart and telanted business man.

The term "Publishing", which is still used to define ownership of music, is based on the papers of written music, that were sold to the people prior to the invention of audio recording. ( music lovers had a piano in the home, and enjoyed music from a printed sheet music paper) . The record labels that still exist, are very weak now. And that explains the lack of new artists emerging like they did in the last century. So with the new, we lose the old.

Now that I hear Prince speak about controlling his own product, I truly believe someone killed or had him killed some kind of way. Record label would not make anymore money off him. Upset? He said the elevator mentioned in his song "Lets Go Crazy" was referencing the devil. Well, satan is alive and doing quite well. For now. Just look around. And Prince is found dead. Alone. In his elevator. Touché. RIP Prince. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. Don't worry. God sees/saw all and will handle it. You are okay now and I'm sure enjoying eternity. Man (meaning all) is spirit, has a soul and lives in an earthly body. The body returns to the earth from which it was made after death, but the spirit man is eternal that will live forever (somewhere). Even in death we are forever alive. No escaping that. Those who BELIEVE, we will see you again. No worries. Those who don't believe....? Thank God for your legacy, your purpose, while here on this earth. For me not so much the music, you were genius, but I'm not into it as much as when I was younger. But as you got older, I could sense you loved the creator and life. You knew what God's purpose was for you. We are not perfect, but when we fall, we get back up and it seems you did that. Much love and adoration to you Sir Prince.

This is what I find sad about the stuff Larry got Prince into. Like, who cares if it was a T shaped cross or a stauros? Even if it was a stauros, that was a weapon for crucifixion as well, not just impalement. But debating semantics over something we will never know misses the whole point of the story, which is that the Son of God was willing to give up himself so that others may live. Prince IMO had a better understanding of the essence of God earlier in his life (and it was expressed in songs like The Ladder, The Cross, Still Would Stand All Time, etc.) than after Larry got him into these obsessions over minor details which helps people miss the overarching lessons of the Gospel. A lot of Prince's lyrics sound lost during this time period. He was most likely reeling from the death of his son and the fraying of his relationship with Mayte, and Larry came in and gave him something else to think about, but I think in the end it did more harm than good.

Let's all give Prince the credit he deserves. He was his own man and no one, including Larry, could have pushed Prince in a direction he did not want to go. He's exactly where he wants to be at this very moment: In God's hands.

Totally agree. My impression is that Larry isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and I blame Prince for being so needy he was willing to get sucked into this JW minutia manipulation, when he really needed to seek counseling for his marriage, and honor the woman he supposedly committed himself to. Beady eyed Larry was not there to encourage Prince to be a good husband, but to sell snake oil to a gullible convert who would bring gold to the JW coffers, and generous financial support to LG's family. Prince, thankfully, was moving away from the JWs in the last years of his life: Josh Welton recently appeared on a podcast and confirmed that he and Prince were studying the Bible at PP and having discussions about spirituality that did not involve Larry and the JWs. Prince was open to the intricacies of world modern/ancient religions, while Larry was not. Still miss our little man--he never stopped growing, even after getting temporarily sidetracked.

Where was all the love he proclaimed for her on National tv shows for all the world to hear & see. She didn't stand a chance against JW. Good old Larry can't stand the man. Introduced wife no. 2 a JW. I take my hat off to Mayte she has forged on with her life in acting & dancing whilst fighting MS & raising her adopted daughter. Whilst I respect Prince as a genius musician he did her wrong. I do hope he is at peace in heaven with his son.

Larry Graham was the worst thing that ever happened to prince. If not for Larry! Prince would likely be alive today

That's not even close to being true. Prince considered him to be a true friend.

I think Prince was infatuated with certain women i believe he truly loved "Vanity" Denise Mathews he would be all into them n create songs about them he needed muses. Like most artist do. Except for Vanity non of the women he went out with was his age or even close. 15 years-20 years younger were talking his last 20 years of his life.
