Today is 21 April 2018 and I'm enjoying a self-imposed Prince Day. I am jamming in as much of Prince, his music and interviews as I can fit into 24 hours. I'm also enjoying the flood of generous and loving comments posted all over the net - Prince is truly loved, adored and appreciated by millions of people who recognised his god given talent, creativity and ability to evolve as the musical creative genius that he was and the man that he became. Prince was one of greatest humans that graced this earth, he is a shining example of how to live your purpose by living your passion and being the very best version of yourself and at the same time supporting others to do the same. It is said that we are as close to each other as our thoughts, Prince you may not be here in the physical but know that we all feel the beauty of your omni-presence. We are drawn to you like moths to a flame and bath in your warm purple essence that constantly pervades our days.

I am so "Blessed!!" 2 have been raised in the same State as Prince. A Musical Genious, Icon, & a one man band @ times....lol!🤣 To feel all the Worlds luv 4 him is Overwhelming. I've had the pleasure of seeing him LIVE in concert. The 1st time I was 14. The Purple Rain Tour in Bloomington, MN. W/The Time & Vanity 6. I attended a few parties at PP. I've met Prince 2x in my life here in Minneapolis. Once at Bunkers a spot he's known for. Jelly Bean would play there also. I also by chance met Prince outside of PP. After he pulled out his beautiful Prowler. From the underground parking. I took my husband (ex- husband now) to work occasionally. He worked @ Pillsbury. Down the street from PP on Audubon Rd. I think it's General Mills now⁉️ I've been Blessed 2 personally know a few employees, associates, friends. I know his first rap artist he signed David T.C. Ellis. I grew up 5 blocks from him. He also had a role in Graffitti Bridge. His sister SuAnne is a singer. She's recorded a few albums. Jessie Johnson Produced one of them. My understanding is she originally was supposed 2 be the lead for Vanity 6. Not sure about the entire story. I recently found out Prince hung out over there house often. Prince being 10 yrs older. I guess I wouldn't have known. At 10 he was 20. Our paths wouldn't have crossed. And T.C. was a few yrs older also. Not my age group, damn it!! Currently David owns a school for musical arts. It has a recording studio & so on.... I modeled 4 one of Prince's designer's in the 80's. Along with 2 other beautiful girls. I was only 15. This was just B4 Prince moved everything 2 PP. I went to HS with Mint Condition. & dated the guitar player Homer O'Dell 4 a short time. I'm still in contact with the Sax/Keyboard player Jeffery Allen. We graduated the same year. Stokley was the drummer in HS. They played @ parties a lot. I can't recall who was lead singer then. I was SHOCKED! That Stokley was lead singer later when the 1st album dropped. They changed the group name to. They went by RAMPART during our school years. Roger Lynch Troutman Jr. he was apart of MC. Son of late the great (Roger) of ZAPP. Yes his son was raised in St. Paul. Sadly Roger Lynch Troutman Jr. has passed away yrs ago. He was jumped & beaten up into a Coma.😢 There's U-TUBE videos of his music. Also one of him performing w/his dad in Ohio @ a outside venue. Talented he played guitar, drums & I believe Sax. It's sad both father & son are gone.😔 My daughter's Jr. High gf was his Personal Assistant Mariah Brown. I watched her grow up to be a beautiful young lady. She stopped working 4 Prince. I believe Oct-Nov 2015. To persue modeling. I called her and she was in Shock!! She told me she never seen Prince take anything. And she worked closely w/Prince. Long days she mentioned. She toured with him & never seen a thing. He never seemed different, odd, under the influence of anything she told me. She doesn't believe he took drugs. Her magazine interview is online. I've been in Aww of Prince since I saw him on American Bandstand. I wanna be your lover got me Hook Line & Sinker. I had that vinyl album @ 14. I believe it was stolen.😠 I absolutely love his ballads. His voice is so Amazing. The vocal ranges he has is WOW! To be able to dance, jump, spin & do the splits. And still sound flawless is talent. He's was so funny & full of surprises with every song he put out. We will never in our lifetime have another ARTIST, Musical Genious like Prince. I have my 10 year old daughter hooked on him now. She sings his music. Asks lots of questions. I took her & my 3 grandchildren for a short tour inside FIRST AVE. I took pics of them on the stage. They posed by his golden star outside. I still have 2 take them on the PP tour. I'm waiting not ready yet. It's still a Open Investigation. And they have & continue 2 add more items 2 c. So the 1's that rushed 2 come asap r missing out on the adding items. They would need another tour. I felt the opening was rushed. And things wouldn't be 100% ready. I was right. As far as the 1st Anniversary 4/21/17. The cost 4 the Celebration was expensive. It snowed in April & was nippy out. Minnesota is unpredictable. In 2016 after Prince passed. When I went out 2 pay my respects & mourn w/other Prince fam. I had shorts & a tank top on. Personally June Celebration had a lot more to do & choose. Wasn't expensive at all. Events, displays, parties ect..... were going on all over Minneapolis/St. Paul. Some of the events were even Free. Prince would've liked that. He never charged the outrageous amounts being charged now. To come to his parties. I remember I paid $10-$20 back in the days. Concerts were like $50 bucks or less. Getting old & it's been some yearsss ago. I know the checkbook wouldn't bounce....😂 The weather in June was beautiful, perfect! I'm so sorry 4 babbling on & on. Practically wrote a book haha! I just love Prince & his music. So proud 2 be a Minnesotan!!! Prince has united millions. I have met a few Prince friends. When they came. I make a point 2 meet all that I can. And we hang out like we've known each other for years. So Welcome 2 Minnesota whenever u come here & party like it's 1999! Peace & be Wild✌💜
