In August we went to Prince Edward County, Ontario for a DIY wine tour of the area. We packed a picnic and hit the road bright and early to make the drive from the Toronto area to The County.
Our stops included:
- Huff Estates Winery
- Long Dog Winery
- Point Petre
- Waupoos Estates Winery
- Bloomfield, Wellington & Picton
- Dead People's Stuff Antiques
- Black Prince Winery
- Kinsip House of Fine Spirits

Wine tasting in sunny weather? Perfection. You’re “it’s good” reaction to the wine made me laugh, that’s always me on wine tastings too haha. “That ones good” “this one is good too” 😂

What a perfect day! Despite the closed antique store and missed whiskey tasting, it was enjoyable to come along as you explored Prince Edward County. You did exactly what my husband and I would have done :) Now I'm inspired to take a trip up there, thank you!

What a fun hike into the wine tasting. Sounds like a best kept secrets place. You guys are so cute and your water picnic looked so beautiful! Sorry it didn't feel so good with the rocks. We are new to your channel and love exploring as well.

We always plan to have a chill day then end up doing this kind of thing too😁 looks a fun day, you guys did well to see so much especially in that heat. The wine tasting looked so fun shame the beach was rocky but love that you persevered for a beach picnic lunch! The final venue looked so lovely with the chickens and rustic style. Thanks for sharing this tour! 😊

Those vineyards looked stunning, and I loved the jamming out in the car and the harsh reality of being pasty white 🤣😒 now I’m hard core craving white wine and whiskey- cause we are right there with you. Scotch fans for life!

I would dancing in the car too when going to the vineyard. In my younger days I tasted over 500 different wines from all over the world

Simply love this winery tour...when I was in Perth, I took Winery Tour and it was so much fun....weather is superb...I prefer Red 🍷

Loved the whole wine tasting tour !! The grasslands between the wineries were amazing !! I can imagine that lunch on Rocky point petre was not so comfy !! Vinegar samples with wine is something unique !!

This sounds like the perfect way to spend a day (in my opinion). I really miss wine tasting and it's cool to see the differences between the wineries in Ontario and in California. The grounds all look so lovely...my favorite is the Waupoo Estates Winery and how it's located waterfront. I can see why it's so busy. Hopefully you guys get to make a return trip soon! And the beach picnic looked really nice, despite all the rocks.

I'm so jealous! hahaha this looks so fun! :D I've always wanted to go to Prince Edward County. What a beautiful day to sit outside and taste wine. Happy you enjoyed the wine at the first place. Nice idea to split a flight so you could try some other local wineries too. I loved the final venue the best though. Thanks for taking us along :)

Drinking wine on a sunny day... perfect! Dachshunds are great, I was half expecting to see loads of them running around that winery 😄 The chickens near the end were pretty cute 🙂

Those wineries look so divine. It was a shame that Waupoo was so busy and you didn't get chance to do any tasting. You picnic looked really nice, even though a bit rocky that gave you sore bums, hehehe. We are glad you got to get a bottle of whiskey to take home, along with your other bottles of wine, we are sure you had a great night tasting all of those, hahaha. We cant wait for your next one, keep up the awesome work. ONE LOVE

I am not big on wine BUT I would still enjoy tasting some and seeing the fields. I also would have to lather up with sunscreen on a sunny day like this haha. The path to the 2nd winery (long dog?) looked like something we would really enjoy! The 3rd still looked nice even though you weren't able to try anything (this time). The antique stores looks very unique, the sign was funny!

So what was your favorite sample at Huff? LOL, those are some seriously white Canadian legs & feet! 😂 We always love the places off the beaten path! And excellent chardonnays?! April is sold! We didn't know wine grapes could grow so close to the water... Wayne says yay for delicious whiskey!

Haha the sun will always get you, Steve is always making sure to put sunscreen on all the tim. Of course, we agree its much better when you have a spot more to yourselves. Glad black prince we still making the best of the situation with covid.

Looks like good fun! We know nothing of wine but tis seems like good way to learn and actually taste the differences. Also lovely weather for a winey adventure. As we're English we're used to pebble beaches - sandy ones are rare here 😂

So much fun to go wine tasting and to just go without a plan, the best ever. Very nice video...I think my favorite was the Long Dog winery although the whiskey place looked nice too. Looking up the website for the antique store...Dead People's Stuff. Too funny. Thanks for sharing....

We visited a local winery this summer and loved the outdoor seating experience! I also think it’s funny your husband had to put sunscreen on, my son and husband are so fair skin we always have sunscreen on hand 😂
