Prince Edward Island Day - Cavendish - Lobster rolls, Anne of Green Gables, Avonlea Village & More!

THIS VIDEO: Greg and I are tourists for a day in Cavendish and Summerside, PEI (Prince Edward Island). We check out Anne of Green Gables museum and show you the restaurants and shops in Avonlea village, we share what we ate at Moo Moo BBQ Grilled Cheesery, enjoy lobster rolls at Dave's Lobster, and Samuel's Coffee along with a tour of the village, and then we take a drive to Summerside PEI to try the famous Holman's Ice Cream. A local, family owned gourmet ice cream shop that opened in a historic house in 2016.
Join us as we are tourists for the day in Cavendish and Summerside and share all of our food and adventures with you!

My name is Meg, and joining me is my husband Greg! I’m a Canadian/maritimer born and raised, and Greg is an American (from Ohio) living here in the maritimes with me and our two dogs now. How great being tourists for the day in this beautiful part of Canada! The museum looked interesting, Greg finding the pee pot 🤣 the gardens w ere lovely shame about the damage from storm Fiona but looks like they are fixing it! The victicious village is super cute and great they have so much choice for food and drink! 12KM for a bridge wow, but great that you can visit PEI so easily. The Anne of Green Gables attraction and grounds is just so pretty. The Avonlea Village looks cute too, so many gorgeous buildings and food options. It looks like an all-round fabulous day to have been a tourist x

Prince Edward Island is so very beautiful. My wife has some of the Anne of Green Gables books. Love all the cool buildings in the village. It's like being in a fairytale. I would definitely have something from cows' ice cream or Holman's ice cream. Thanks for all the great views and information.

That’s cool that they have a Anne of green gables museum . The trails do look beautiful . I didn’t know there was a hurricane that went that far north last year. At least you can still get to see a lot of the trail and it wasn’t too damaged . Avonlea looks like a lot of fun and I remember when you vlogged there before. I like all the choices of restaurants they have. The grilled cheese looks tasty but gimme gimme gimme that lobster roll! Not many better foods in the world than a perfect, delicious lobster roll! WOW what a pretty village! I love all the little houses/shops there! They look amazing and I can imagine that you can have such nice photos there! hmmm the brisket looks pretty soft but it is a little expensive. but as long as it's good... it's fine! I enjoyed this exploration of Cavendish, a place I have always wanted to visit. As a child I read all the Anne books over again and was a big fan of the movies and Road to Avonlea. So this is really special. I like how they have Lovers Lane and Haunted Wood trails. And Greg of Green Gables (ha!) The lobster rolls are super! 🦞🦞👍👍 The ice cream looks very creamy and yummy. Ooh, I love Anne of Green Gables! What a treat to see where she lived in the stories. Haha, I could see Greg was really enthusiastic too! 😂 The trails were beautiful, but so dad to see the damage done by the hurricane. “I found the piss pot” 😂 Love seeing your adventures from PIE! I never read the Anne of Green Gables books personally, but they were big hits in Katie’s family. The grounds are truly beautiful, no wonder they inspired such notable works of literature! The nature trail looked amazing. I love a good picturesque hike ✨ Omg, the size of that side of beans at Moo Moo BBQ. I guess at $17, the sides better be as massive as possible to warrant the cost. The childrens’ faces in the armchair were mildly terrifying 😂 But the ice cream looked delicious! I hope Greg bought that hat, I’m looking forward to ‘Greg of Green Gables’ being a recurrent character! Great video, you two! ✨

The Anne of Green Gables museum is so sweet and cool. I grew up reading all the books and watching the tv shows. Brings back lots of memories. Sorry the BBQ place was so disappointing. The lobster rolls looked so delicious though. That whole area looks so nice. Yum the ice cream 🍦 looked amazing. Haha we laughed when Greg said “ass berry cordial” I love sweet and salty things so I know I would love the cow chips. Awww y’all’s kitty and pups are so cute.

I missed Greg of Green Gables when I was there - what a shame! Yikes, $17 for that little bit. Eating out is getting wildly expensive. We tried lobster poutine that you'll see in the next video! You should be proud that we did some food based stuff! We didn't make it to summerside when there, but it looks like a nice little spot. Nice to see the animals make an appearance!

Oh Anne of Green Gables- ancient history ( mine 🤣) Oh my goodness, no end of food choices here. Love the buildings - colorful and lovely architecture. Great food reviews. Never visited Canada - was always a childhood dream though. Who knows what the future holds. I'd definitely want to visit here. Enjoybale video! What a beautiful story book town! Mac n Cheese isn't that hard, at least the grilled cheese was decent. We can definitely go for the butter lobster roll! What no 5 second rule 😁😁 Can't go wrong with home made ice cream! Looks like a great place to spend a weekend.

I don't think I have ever read any of the Anne of Green Gables books, but the museum looks really nice. I am sure you were very happy to have met Greg of Green Gables! LOL. I was surprised that the mac and cheese only got a score of 3. It is kind of hard to make bad mac and cheese. Looks like a wonderful place for a summer vacation! ~ Anita 👍😊

PEI is a lovely island to explore. We were there on Canada Day a few years ago and enjoyed some brilliant fireworks in Charlottetown. There are some lovely coastal walks too. Those lobster rolls looked wonderful but pricey. Nice tour once more.

All the years I lived in the maritimes I have never visited Anne of Green Gables. Interesting video, it was nice to see all the spots. That was a pricey lobster roll, but it did look packed with lobster.

Oh my goodness, loved this video! I loved the Anne of Green Gables books when I was growing up and my daughter just started reading the books and we've been watching the movies together. Would love to go there someday and tour the house! 💕 Greg of Green Gables 😂 The beef brisket looked good, but that's a bummer about the portion size, the lobster roll looked delicious though!

All of the beautiful houses and landscape and all I can think about is the fact they had to use a piss pot back in the day. lol Thanks Greg!! Yes, stick with what they specialize in. The grilled cheese did look good, but not a lot of cheese. Sean and I don't eat seafood, so no lobster rolls for us, and thank goodness, because it is so expensive! I am so glad that he reminded you that that was table lobster. lol I'm actually laughing out loud imagining your relief of not eating it and Greg's dismay that he actually reminded you. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the "assberry" cordial. lol Awesome video, like 116, thanks for sharing!
