Like all Ethiopians, they have legitimate right to live, run for election and work in Ethiopia. The 80 plus ethnic groups in the country will never be exclusively ruled by one ethnic group, leave alone by one family. Monarchy is not democratic.

The Monarchy in Ethiopia has long been dissolved and long forgotten about in the minds of Ethiopians them self! the majority of Ethiopians hated the Monarchy coz they were out of touch with the majority poor citizens. The monarchy was abolished with out consulting the people by an unelected and a brutal military dictatorship with no awareness of the consequences of its decesion. Regardless of the existence of monarchy, HIH was and is and will be, for as long as he lives, a Prince as will his descendants. You can depose a ruling family, democratically or not, but you cannot ever cancel out the fact of the "blood royal (imperial in this case)". which means that even in twenty generations time the great-great-great... grandchild of a former Emperor of Ethiopia will be fully right and entitled to call him or herself a descendant (a child) of the Emperors.
