You said its you have a b minor 11th chord, but what you say is the eleventh is only a fourth above the root. Whats your reasoning?

Because the seventh is in the chord, in this case A is the b7, we call it a Bmin11 which implies it’s a Bmin7 chord with the 4th/11th added. Also in this particular voicing, the 11th (D) is actually an octave higher than the D in the same register as the root.

No doubt! So much of Prince’s rhythm guitar came from JB’s guys - Nolen, Martin, Collins etc… I was specifically thinking of Prince’s “Sexy MF” rhythm for this example. Can you point me to a JB tune that has constant 16ths with accents? All I could think of was “It’s Too Funky In Here” but those chords are played straight without accents and it’s two chords, not just a one chord vamp like this example. If you know of one, please tell me! Also, I’m well aware Jimi invented Voodoo Child. I heard that one before the SRV cover.
