Prince Mehmed Has Escaped Death "MAHIDEVRAN SAVED HIM"

Hürrem is now away from the harem... A new life awaits for her at the old palace. Will Hürrem be able to face up to this?
İbrahim Pasha goest to Hürrem with an offer which can save her. Hürrem rejects his offer without hesitation. In the mean time, Sultan Suleiman becomes very upset. He wants to see someone from harem who he hasn't seen for a long time.
A great part is being arranged to declare that Hatice and İbrahim will get married. The preparations continues at the palace. Meanwhile, Prince Mehmet who is seperated from his mother gets sick. Hatice sees his condition and decides to visit Hürrem.
Hatice tells Hürrem that a great party will be held at the palace.
Sultana gets angry that Hatice went to visit Hürrem without telling her.
Meanwhile, Hürrem decides to accept İbrahim's offer.
Hürrem interrupts the party being held in the private garden. How will people in harem react to Hürrem's return. How will Sultan Suleiman meet Hürrem?
A young man coming form the sea starts looking for Alexsandra Livolska.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I don't know why, but I sympathize so much with Mahedevran. The bruised ego, the shattered pride. I don't know how one could pull themselves together after everything that has happened to her. Of course, it doesn't excuse all of her actions, however it does explain her behavior.

I'll be the first to criticize Mahidevran but her actions are pretty realistic. Imagine if you've been enslaved, your fate resting on the fleeting favor of one man, and having so many rivals that one day can kill you and your son. Very few people have enough cunning and resilience to thrive in that kind of environment, Mahidevran is simply not one of them.

Agree. But I think back to those first days when she was plotting against Hurrem, and trying to have her married off to some young guy… and gossiping about her behind her back and giving her evil looks ( and doing the whole “mean girl” routine ). She and the Sultan‘s mother were plotting to send Hurrem away from the palace for good. At that point, Hurrem was trying her best to win the favor of the Sultan‘s mother and was trying to live according to the rules of the harem and was studying to be a good Muslim. Yet they were all stabbing her in the back the whole time and enjoying every minute of it. I would think even Allah would be highly offended by that behavior. Hurrem eventually reminds the Sultan’s mother of her evil actions against her (to get rid of her) as the Sultan’s mother lies on her deathbed. Hurrem reminds the mother that she and the others started this and just kept on and on..,so Hurrem eventually fought back.

@Dreamfyre2 all of these women suffered this unfortunately, the show depicts hurrems side. Mahidevrans survival depended on suleimans favor. Almost all women's in the harem, these men literally toyed with these women's lives for mere pleasure and amusement. And plz Ibrahim had everything that happened coming to him, even in real life. Mahidevran's depiction in the show doesn't reflect the real life history but ibrahims was worse than shown in the show, he actually portrayed himself as king in front of outsiders and called himself the lion tamer whenever someone called suleiman the lion. He absolutely had it coming

The painful irony of Mahidevran saving Mehmed here when you consider what happens later. (It mirrors Hürrem later safeguarding Mustafa during the revolts, but not quite to the same extent.) Also, yay, the arrival of the Hürrem who has learned how to turn apparent diplomacy and the politics around her into a weapon to be wielded! Her method of removing Sadıka from the harem was deftly done and, while I'm not about to call her congratulations to Mahidevran kind by any means, it really is a snub without the appearance of one, which becomes her signature throughout the show. I've always been kind of torn on whether or not this pregnancy should've been real, though. While it's largely regarded that Raziye was never a child of Mahidevran's (for reasons I can go to, if asked) it would've made more sense for to be included here rather than in the final season.

Everyone blames Mahidevran, why do they fail to see that Hurrem and Mahidevran were just the same when put in similar circumstances because they both were in similar situations in different times and did the same, Mahidevran had a miscarriage and she hit Hurrem badly, Hurrem did the same to Hatice,she poisoned Gulnihal and destroyed her face for going to Sultan's chambers, Mahidevran too tried poisoning her,both saved each others sons and both killed each other's sons too... Both were same but Sultan only saw Mahidevran, because he never knew Hurrem is just like that, otherwise she would've fell from his heart too... I don't understand on what basis there is partiality for Hurrem? Infact I think she's worse then Mahidevran,she did black magic on Ibrahim,Hatice lost her babies and husband because of that,she forced Mihrimah to marry Rustem!

That's how she made hatice her enemy or else hatice admired her, hatice was the only dynasty member to support and understand Hurrem when Hurrem had nothing instead of gratitude she other hand deliberately without Ibrahim causing her any problem made him her enemy while showing hatice that she cares for her love towards Ibrahim!

Hurrem bet Hattice because Hattice used that drug in her insense to drive her mad. Mahidevran started it with Hurrem, Hurrem just answered back. Hurrem did not cause her miscarriage, she stressed herself out because she thought she was special. Yet she did the same thing to his first concubine, Gulfem. After their son died of illness, Mahidevran made sure she never got a chance to have a child again. Then she made her accompany her as she gloated. Until Hirrem came, then the tables turned. Huurrem helped everyone of those women trying to have peace with them. She save Hattice and her baby when Hattice went into depression. She saved her son when he was born not breathing. She helped Hattice marry Ibrahim. She protected Mustafa during the seige. She tried everything to win the favor of Vailide.

Mahidevran was never a Haseki. At this point of time, there never existed such title. Sultan Suleiman created that title specially for Hürrem after marrying her, which made her outrank each and everyone in the Family, and in the Empire and Equal to The Sultan himself. After that, everyone bowed to her, she never bowed to anyone.

@@theladymorgana8657 Valide Sultan was indeed respected by Hürrem as mother in law, but in the order of precedence, she was after Hürrem. Anyway, she didn't live long enough. Also, she was very nice to Hürrem, unlike shown in series. Coming to royal sisters, Hürrem did bow to them until she was Hürrem Hatun. But once she became The Empress of The Ottoman Empire, everything changed. From then on, The Royal sisters bowed to Hürrem

@@theladymorgana8657Valide Sultan is the ruler of the harem and she outrank Haseki Sultan and other Sultanas/Kadins/Hatuns/Gozdes/Ikbals/Kalfas & Cariye, the show got that part right. However, irl Haseki Sultan is the second most important woman in the harem after Valide Sultan and Hurrem outrank all of her sister/brother in laws including her own daughter, technically she is the Empress consort of the empire and everyone should bow down to her except Suleyman & Valide Sultan. Haseki Sultan are able to give birth to Sehzades (future Padişa) and Sultanas (by birth), whereas the “blood Sultanas” can only give birth to Sultanzade Bey and Hanımsultan not Sehzade or Sultana

Mahidevran she didn' t kill Mehmet. Mehmet died of malaria that's what the story says . In the movie it's different that she kills him but she doesn't . Hyrrem kills her only son Mustafa because she know he was going ti get on the throne.

Hurrem gave Mustafa poison after this, and kept using Mehmed's name, then she again sent a spy to his sanjek and gave order to kill his baby Suleiman. Lol, what could she do other than save for only one?? Hurrem tried to kill Mustafa twice when Mehmed was alive and Mahidevran didn't had any intention to kill him or anyone else. Nor she did after Mehmed. Mustafa didn't do anything to her. He'd gone with his mom and just came. And she got insecured and jealous. That's Hurrem's fault that she's always attacking people whether it gives reasons or not. She atleast should've wait till Mustafa actually did something to her, insulting or his mother, or when he got to his sanjek. But she's always in hasty to kill or beat someone that she can't wait. Simply killer.

Yeah, she saved him only to kill him later. If these women had worked together, their lives would have been better and their kids probably would have lived longer. They could have done a lot of good together. But they fought of a man and his power when that man had multiple partners. He also could have stopped it all but he didnt.

Mahidevran had Mehmet killed because he was slightly more favoured by the Sultan because he was a good person. She was so happy when the news came of his death. He never did anything wrong other than be a great prince. He even threw himself in front of an arrow to save Mustafa. If it wasn't for him, Mustafa could've been killed. Yet she killed Mehmet later and relished in it. Hurrem may have forged a letter that ultimately got Mustafa executed, but Mustafa had a hand in it as well by making a lot of wrong decisions. He was a good person but made many mistakes. Hurrem didn't want this war between them, she even told him one time she wished she was his mother so they wouldn't be divided as they were. And she didn't rejoice in his death. She cried and mourned it. Mahidevran smiled and was proud of herself for what she done.
