I think Hurem actually knew Mihrimah was lying to her... But she did it to teach Mihrimah about always having the family first, no matter what... That concubine is Nazli, right ? She worked for Hurrem again later in series (she wasn't banished from palace, only got fired as Hurrem's concubine and became ordinary "slave" for the palace)
