You do know that Prince wrote the song too? Siena’s O’Connor was the singer who first recorded this song.

Woow I cry everytime I see and hear this from this concert, my god I love him with glitter, gold, make-up……whaterver ♥️ and he soooo damn 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Rosie Gain who altso was in the Revolution is fantastic in harmonis with him……and the saxsofonist Katie Jensen? She and all is so fantastic it can bee, this overwlmed me everytime……I nearly get shock when I saw you should react on this marveles song……I Thank you with all my ♥️ please more Prince 💟💜💟

Prince wrote this song for Sinead O'Connor who won Emmy awards for the song but it's one of many songs wrote composed for other famous artists during 80's and 90's. Love your reactions to his other videos as well.

Actually, he wrote it for a side project of his called the Family who recorded it in 1985. Sinead O'Connor didn't record it until 1990.

Prince was one of my favorites, he was one of the sharpest dressers in rock n roll. You may want to check out "Chris Cornell - Nothing Compares 2 U - (Prince Cover) [Live @ Sirius XM]" "to accompany the recording, Cornell penned a Tribute to an artist that fascinated him. Prince's music is the soundtrack to the soul and beautiful universe he created, and we have all been privileged to be a part of that amazing world." ( a quote from the Rolling Stones)

The song was written by Prince, but initially made famous by the Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor. You have to listen to that version, it's amazing. Good to see Prince singing his own song, though.
