@George No, they didn’t really write Purple Rain. Prince did all of it. To be fair, they did admit to helping with the melody and coming up with some parts to the music. They helped write it.

Found this gem today. What a joy!! I think I may have listened 20 or more times. Every time I think my sadness has gone, I hear the end of Purple Rain (the “ooh ooh “…it’s like my lullaby), and I weep all over again. It hurts my heart so much that he’s gone…so thankful for the music he left us.

Love the film mix and the concept how Wendy and Lisa wrote it and Prince was dismissive of it at first, but because of what had happened throughout the film, let the song come to light at the end, showing his feelings and all what had happened to his romance and his family. I also love you remix how you've made into a full song version, with bits of the film and bits of you own. Brilliant mate!!

As to Prince, yes the song itself is a very emotional song for me, but it is more so emotional due to Gem's phenominal ability to add to the music his own rendering and musical genius. Gem, similar to Prince is a multi-instrumentalist artist and his vocal abilities are unmatched in my humble opinion so I was actually complementing him in this rendition. ❤️ As much as I adore Prince, I believe there are other artists who are equally as talented, especially Gem so I am giving him his well deserved roses.🌹🌹💜 🌹🌹

I have fond appreciation for those whose talents show great care in their interpretation of timeless music. It builds upon what we already hold dear, giving us more for our purple palate.... Wow man, im an old school Prince fan and musician so i dont impress too easily. I remember wearing out the VHS tape at this point in the movie from the constant rewinding, pausing, playing but it was so short. This point right here as i child was the moment i knew music was what i would do. My mom ended up sending me to a shrink because i would cry while listening to this demo tape given to him by his band mates. Anyway turned out i am abnormally drawn to certain progressions and am extremely sensitive emotionally to some music. Wow never told that to anyone. F'n beautiful man really. Srry so long. Peace srry to bore u with personal stuff, no one else to talk too. Ok im going to round robin this track here. Soloing drums, bass, guitar and especially piano. Ty

Uriah thank you for making this. So much feelings man I love this song. If i had to choose 10 songs as a soundtrack of my life, purple rain would be one of those for sure. This feels like an early version of purple rain, just before all the ideas come together to create the final masterpiece with one of the best solos in the history of music

thank you! and I don't remember how I got it exactly but I had the drum samples for years on a flash disk in wav format. I just put them in to the battery vst.
