I totally agree. Even Eric Clapton thought he was awesome. But part of the reason for him not getting credit for being a great guitarist was his introverted personality. He never gave interviews to Guitar Magazines. I think I saw one that his technician did. But the people who give credit read those magazines and follow artists that are interviewed. Prince just wasn't interested in those types of accolades. I always wanted to see him do a set of Jimi Hendrix music. His cover of Crimson and Clover with a touch of Foxy Lady is incredible!!

I only saw him 6 times and the last time was in Sydney during the Piano & Microphone tour in 2016 and he didn't sing it, I never understood why because the concert was brilliant but i felt sad that I didn't get to hear Prince sing Purple Rain that night.... then not long after he passed 😢

Just curious. What is the story? What happened at this time that started his taking the pain killers? I’m a Prince fan since the 80s but have never read up on anything from his personal life.
