"It's a very exciting event for all of us. It was a massive surprise when that nice golden envelope dropped through the letterbox, a bit like Willie Wonka's golden ticket (reference to Roald Dahl book), really. We're all going down to the Abbey to spend the day with him. We're all very excited. We're going to travel down, spend the day in the Abbey, then we're all going to spend the afternoon as a squadron really, to get together, have a nice meal, and enjoy being a squadron down in London for the day."

"He's fitted in extremely well. It can be a dangerous job, especially depending on the weather and the time of day when we're operating, but he's just stayed calm. I've been on three jobs with him, he's been fantastic."

"Frankly I wanted to make sure that he had the opportunity to make sure that he enjoyed himself, and to be treated as normally as we could, as we treat everybody else. That's what was daunting to me, as I didn't see how I would be able to achieve that. And I hope I achieve that every day, while maintaining what we need to maintain here, which is operational effectiveness."
(Q) So does he call you Sir?
"He calls me Boss normally."
(Q) And what do you call him?
"William."
(Q) And generally what's your view as to what sort of guy he is?
"He is very grounded, he is very effective, he is a very pleasant young man, who I think has a great future as an RAF pilot."
16. Hawk training jet takes off behind helicopters
PRINCE WILLIAM'S AIR FORCE UNIT TO ATTEND ROYAL WEDDING
Prince William has invited his entire air force unit to his royal wedding.
All 27 operational members of the helicopter search-and-rescue unit where he works have received invitations to the ceremony on 29 April.
His airbase, on the Welsh island of Anglesey, will be covered on the day by search-and-rescue teams from other parts of Britain.
The news emerged as reporters were allowed onto the base for the first time since William announced his engagement to Kate Middleton back in November.
The prince himself wasn't there, but his colleagues described their delight at receiving their invitation cards.
"It was a massive surprise when that nice golden envelope dropped through the letterbox, a bit like Willie Wonka's golden ticket," said Sergeant Keith Best, a winchman and paramedic who has flown on a number of missions with the prince.
The prince calls him "boss", Wright disclosed.
