We cruised Alaska’s inside passage on the Crown. Upon first seeing her from the shuttle bus, I was very disappointed but all that disgust just totally evaporated when I set foot aboard! Such elegance, comfort, and service! Can’t wait to go again, it was my favorite cruising experience bar none!

I’ve just booked this for a Christmas get away. Lovely video, I’m chuffed to bits and can’t wait to go. Looks awesome.

Great video as ever, I do like the crown class for keeping the C deck balconies, but the extra deck of cabins does lead to some crowding issues at times in public areas.

The shape of the bow and the aft are as unique to the ship.....as the fantastic staff....

Personally I think the stern view of Princess ships is awesome. And I'm fine with the bow view.

I love the boxy rear end. Although I found it hysterical to what you compared the front end! Still, the wrap-around promenade deck across the bow of the ship is simply magnificent! But I won't hold anything you said against you. :-)

Beautiful ship

My wife and I did our 25th wedding anniversary on this ship; we started in Rome, and cruised around Mediterranean ports in Italy and hitting the Greek islands and ending up in Venice… it was an awesome vacation; and the crew on the Princess were incredible… the best time to go is Mid May; the weather is perfect, the seas are calm, it’s not to overwhelmed with tourism; …. 🍷🍷🍷🍷…

Agree totaly with you, one thing, the exercise should bee obliged in the cruise fee with leeded traing passes, course the passenger's don't need to have enybody to tell them to put in stuff in the "food and drink door", but to still be in relatively or better shape after the cruise is a kind of art.....! I always enjoy your reviews,. And although this looks like a lovely ship, the lack of privacy on the balconies keep me from booking. Many a morning I enjoy my first cup of coffee in my skimpy nightshirt knowing no one can look down on me. Not so on Princess. Bummer.

Would you know if this ship is going to Medallion or already is? It is September 2019 currently. I love the warmth of Princess and top notch service I have received and am looking into the Baltic Cruise 2020. Great review so new subscriber...let’s keep cruising!

I believe you've done sailings on Cunard and obviously Princess...which cruise line do you favor and why? I have not sailed before and am doing my research for a first cruise and was leaning towards the QE2 but I have read many mixed reviews of the main dining room food, while seeing nothing but raves for the dining rooms on Princess ships. The food on Cunard is more English focused too (guinea fowl really?) The daily after 6 p.m. dress code also seems a bit much. What are your thoughts?

I concur. Most modern cruise ships are externally about as attractive as a 1970's vintage bowling shoe. Internally however, I have to admit, it rather appeals to me. Was it an optical illusion, or were the bookshelves in the library empty?

Two of our three cruises were on the Crown. We’re done. This year we couldn’t make it to Grenada because there was a problem with the engines. Enchanted Princess is on deck for 2022, if there’s a viable vaccine. Cancelled the 2022 cruise, and we are booked on the Enchanted for 2023.

Excellent content, camera work and editing - you know that anyway! You now need to take the big leap and do that 'piece to camera' (together with the dry humour etc) that you have been avoiding to push the videos to the next level!!!

I sailed on Crown in summer 2018 in the Med; Barcelona to Athens. Decent ship, good experience. Not our first nor our last Princess cruise. Not sure I agree with your assessments. On our cruise the company did not offer the standard paper fold out ship map, the only cruise we have taken that did not. I liked our next cruise on the Regal with Medallion. Thats the future.

Going on this ship next September, can’t wait. Interestingly when I went on the P&O Britannia this year, the P&O Ventura (sister ship to this Crown Princess, looks exactly the same exterior wise) was docked nearby I thought exactly the same, god what an ugly ship especially the boxy rear. However it’s now actually really grown on me and I think it looks really good, it’s very different. I think when I saw the bigger picture and saw the result of the ugliness is actually a fantastic design with the full wrap-round promenade, it helped me like it a lot more😄

DO NOT SAIL ON CROWN PRINCESS! We just got off of their Alaskan Cruise. Besides the port time issues from the engine issues they've lied about, half of the ship's toilets do not work among a whole host of other issues.

Can't watch anymore. The jerking of the camera in and out, up and down the stairs is driving me absolutely nuts! The narration and the comparison with the crazy character is silly. Shake my head!
