Princess Diana Exhibit at Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) in Orlando

A look at the temporary Princess Diana exhibit which was set up in the old Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney West Side, which is now where Splitsville is at Disney Springs.
Hundreds of royal artifacts were on display in "Diana - The People's Princess," a limited-time experience showcasing the life and story of Diana, Princess of Wales - at Downtown Disney in the Walt Disney World Resort. The exhibition included royal dresses Diana chose to auction for charity, photos, and personal effects. "Diana - The People's Princess" was be on display through Nov. 30, 2009. Tickets were $14.50 for ages 10 and older, $5 for ages 3-9. More details at attractionsmagazine.com/last-...

I saw this exhibition when I lived in Orlando. Its interesting to see all the dresses on display. I remember they had a piece of fruitcake (their wedding cake) on display in a tin. She led a fascinating life.

For viewers admiring the beautiful Princess Diana bride doll, I am quite sure that she was made by well-known British doll artists, Paul Crees and Peter Coe. Their wax portrait dolls usually stand 28” tall! In contrast, the also beautiful but much affordable - and much more readily available - Franklin Mint 19” porcelain Princess Diana bride doll is not quite so lavish! As well, the company made a smiling vinyl 16” version.

It's not a sin because she's not being worshiped. She's just being remembered. A lot of people felt they could relate to her and appreciated all the work she's done to bring awareness to things. She's being remembered the same way you would remember a loved one that has passed on of yours. Through pictures, bringing out items that once belonged to them, video (if available) and little knick-nacks. It would be different if people were praying to her but I think what most do is still pray for her.

Estão de parabéns é uma linda homenagem. Lady Di nunca mais vai existir uma princesa igual a ela. Que mulher fascinante...linda...humanitária...solidária. Essa morreu pq foi uma verdadeira princesa e não um fantoche como as outras que estão surgindo depois dela. Magnífica pra sempre será lembrada.

Miss Mausoleum they got rid of this years ago. It didn’t last more than a year. After this went away it became a build your own rc car shop, and now its a bowling alley

I was 11 yrs old when Princess Diana got married. There were two page spread ads of the bride doll. I tore the pages out and salivated, I wanted that doll so bad!

no they could not !! this is an awsome way to honor her and she deserves it !!! she did more than shake hands and all of that crap it means alot to people to just be there and that is excatly what she did. she was an awsome person !!! i know she wasn't perfect nobody is but she did more than alot of people inccluding you bulked!!

i like the sentiment, but this really makes me cringe. it looks very cheap and on the quick, almost like an insult to the princess. i think it would have been better setup in epcot in the UK section of world showcase. at least then it would have been both surrounding appropriate and in a more intimate setting. this warehouse type facility (virgin store) is too big and open and the blue curtains in the back make it look like a cheap lawn and garden trade show. just my opinion.
