I am getting Luigi's Mansion 3 and Paper Mario vibes with Grape's takeover, the changing aesthetics of the Sparkle Theater, and the meeting of Stella (Italian for 'star') and Peach. Twink, wherever you are up in Star Haven, I hope you know your friend Peach is finally getting a proper chance to shine in her own game. Super Princess Peach was fun but these ribbon transformations are much better than any Vibe Scepter I could find.

@@blee7442 My guess would be that he doesn't allow anyone else than him to mess with Peach/the Mushroom Kingdom on their own, and that he wouldn'tattack if Peach would be in a situation away from the kingdom, like a morale code, and the Toad would know that and use it to get Bowser to help.

@@clemente3966 true except.... Isn't Kamek the one who lets Bowser know when Peach is in trouble? Or at least one of Bowser's minions would notify him if she's in trouble and not by him. That's why I don't think Road would go anywhere near Bowser's castle for that.

@@Mopsamaxwell To Peach's defense, the theater normally is legit and it's just a case of circumstances. Plus that it wasn't an invitation but just an ad. I mean, no specific indication of Peach in what was written, and the layout we can see doesn't seem like an invitation and more like a flyer. So there wasn't any red flag to begin with, contrary to a hotel run by ghosts out of everything.

i thought whoever took control the theater kidnapped the Toads and took Peach's crown but she just blew them out of the theater which is a dumb move because if the Toads are outside the theater they can totally warn Mario about the situation

I bet this game was inspired by the pile of sheer ineptitude that is Balan Wonderworld and Nintendo deciding to actually do the idea justice. I played the demo and so far it seems to be doing just that. The controls are simple, but not to a fault. With Swordfighter Peach, you could perform several different kinds of attacks, and the dodge/counter mechanic was not only completely badass, but intuitive and generous. But you still had to think a little bit - the game didn't outright tell you that you had to use the dodge/counter mechanic to beat the guys with shields or the level's boss. It actually took me a few minutes to realize how I could actually damage the boss. Then once I did, it went do easy. And the afterimages during the dodges...(chef's kiss) The Patisserie level was fine - some nice mini-games, plus a smidgen of combat at the start. They even lowered Peach's jump height and removed her ability to fight to show that the Patisserie is not a combat costume, and the level was not focused on combat like Swordfighter's was. The ~10-15 minute length of the two levels was just long enough for you to fully enjoy a costume's gimmick without said gimmick overstaying its welcome. Overall, I'm definitely buying this game when it comes out. Hopefully it has enough content to justify its $60 price tag.

Demo of the Captain Toad game was also much shorter than the full version, so I think predicting the actual game length from demo is not such a good idea.
