I'll bet the "Cowgirl" hat has horns to subconsciously remind you of Bowsette, a fan character by Ayyk92 that Nintendo doesn't own the rights to, but she made their stock jump 2%. Oh God... that was back in 2018... six years ago! Time sure flies, I guess?
