I am very impressed! This is an example of excellency, determination, and demonstrates the Monarch's wishes of showing how all women can achieve independent roles and careers in Jordan by and through their own daughter. Wow, Jordan has come a long way. Jordan has followed through with their wishes and concrete promises for women.

Travelled to Jordan back in 2008 and I simply lived it. Nice people, as a woman I felt very safe (unlike in Egypt), amazing history with sights like Petra, Jerash and Karnak. Fantastic nature and good food. Definitely plan to go back there.

She seems to have followed her grandfather King Hussein who was also a graduate of Sandhurst I believe and a pilot. This story did not need the mention of British royals as they all seem to go to Sandhurst at some time during their lives. This is a great achievement in itself for the princess.

Yes, he was an excellent pilot. He flew even in has last days before he passed away. His love story was also heartwarming. A great king indeed.

As a jordanian woman i have to clarify that jordanian woman has done a lot and long before king abdullah came to power 24 years ago. We have military women pilots as well as commercial ones. King Hussein reign saw big steps for women where she was took her rights to vote work anywhere she wants so i am surprised to hear that Princess salma is the first woman pilot....

I suppose you are right, and this film also has a propaganda role. However, I must say that in all the films about the Near East, the women in this family are different from the other wives or daughters of rulers. I see that the women in this family are emancipated and I hope that other women in this country will follow this example.

@@Ema-ew5bw thank you for your comment .. women in jordan have reached high positions as ministers, senators, legislators doctors ......in short in all walks of life ...but yes there is still more to be achieved... am sorry to say that films and media don't reflect the real image of arab women ...surely there are some women who live like that but they are bieng reached educated and empowered ...

@@Ema-ew5bw we are all victims of stereotypes.. true status of arab women vary from one arab country to the other. Some arab countries have empowered women more than others ...given them rights the jordanian woman doesn't have ...like giving mother's nationality to her children . Women in Tunisia have that right for example ....i know of work on this issue is ongoing in jordan ... in my opinion, worst thing is to generalise....

Each and every Jordanian woman can decide on their own what they choose to be like, thank you very much 🙄 It is not on to position one as a role model just because she is more palatable to the western tastes!
