China is a poor man's Japan. When Japan lost WWII, they re-started their industry and made a lot of cheap products, but they got better, because their nation has pride. China had been shut off from the world since WWII until Clinton allowed trade to China, so their industrial revolution was late. They are like Japan when they got started, they produced cheap products in mass. However, they don't allow free thinkers in China. How are they gonna be innovative? They steal technology. My Macro/micro econ course used the rapid growth of SF in 1849- to show what happens when the public sector can't grow fast enough to work well in the private sector. People started minting their own coins. Exchange rate was based on how much dust a person could pinch. People were shaving the edges of coins and melting the stuff into new coins. The mail service couldn't keep up. Housing got very chaotic. What were you told that offended?

It all depends on how long you're willing to hold for and your strategies, stocks might likely tank further, but making serious gains in this downtrend shouldn't be a problem if you're a pro.

I noticed, a lot of folks are making huge 6figure killings in this downtrend, only just that such technique are mostly successfully executed by folks with in-depth market knowledge.
