Jo eldre man blir jo mer glad blir man i det norske kongehus. Kongehuset er for meg Norge, og det vil alltid stå for folks beste. Ingrid Alexandra vil bli en svært vakker dronning i sin tid, med visdom og humor som er godt for Norge. Hun vil garantert ta valgordet "Alt for Norge"

@lkj8 The country needs to have a voice about decisions that are incredibly hard to corrupt. A politician can easily take advantage of the people to get what they desire, a modern monarch grows up to represent the people.

Charming young lady. With a sense of humor and a smile. No mention of gratitude towards the Norwegian people or confirmation of her Christian faith and allegiance to the church in her speech.

Yes, quite disappointing in my opinion that not a word is said in regard to God and the faith. This was supposed to be a Confirmation speech, and one expects a little more serious or reverent attitude with respect to the meaning of the event by one who is going to become monarch and as such constitutionally duty-bound to defending the faith. Oh well, youth nowadays. Ancients like me can only shake our heads.

@@greensun1658 Norway is the most secular country in the world. Even though she is bound by law to belong to the christian faith, statistically she is most likely an atheist. The confirmation is a technicality and very few of the kids who does it (mostly everyone) has any sort of faith. I am very glad that she excluded faith from her speech, this could be seen as a subtle hint that although she is a believer on paper, she is a sensible person in real life. Faith is frowned upon in Scandinavia and is put in the same category as any other conspiracy-theory, it would've been uncharacteristic and frankly a bit disrespectful to the people if she gave faith too much agency in such an event, as the people is not christian.

@@klakatroll Yes, absolutely right. I lived in Norway for years, am in every way like them, also fluent in Norwegian. Lovely people, but mostly Humanist/agnostic/atheist. Very materialistic. In that way I am NOT like them. Sincere Christians in Norway are very often considered to be mentally ill. At one point in time, Norway had the highest suicide rate per Capita in the world. All my years there I felt a palpable emptiness. Met only one person who admitted belief in God. But again, they treated me wonderfully, as one of their own. I wasn't a Christian though. I shudder to think how I'd be treated now.

@@greensun1658 As someone who lived in Norway for years, please read my detailed post here. Scandinavia is mainly Humanist/agnostic/atheist. No one admits belief in God. Those who do are seen as mentally ill. Their god is things; very materialistic. But absolutely wonderful people, beautiful country. My post gives more details.

@@donnabaardsen5372 We are far less materialistic than for example the U.S. our religion is not things but independency and community, which seem like opposing ideas but kind of works. The suicide rates are very much tied to the winter darkness, not lack of faith. Statistics show a consistent pattern; people in countries where faith is a large part of life is always less happy than secular ones. The emptiness you felt had nothing to do with faith and everything to do with independency, which is both a blessing and a curse. If you speak Norwegian, watch NRK's 'sånn er Norge' where they explore the theme in depth.

A sheer delight beautiful ,intelligent with a great sense of humour. Since a little girl I have followed different events, videos for children at. Christmas time very good sport . Full of self confidence without being precocious. Her Parents. Grandparents can be very proud of Ingrid Alexandra.

Not a little princess but a young princess. Little boy /girl is about to kindergarden age or a bit younger. But on starting in KG they are young kids. From a English Uni Professor.

Here it is common for us to call a girl up to 20 years old a girl or a girl ... That was the reason I called Ingrid Alexandra "little princess". It was a loving way of naming it. Even though I don't have a correct way to translate certain expressions from my country into English. Honestly, I don't know what it takes to get into someone else's comment. Kronprinsesse Victoria (Sverige). Hun ble valgt som gudmor siden hun har hatt et nært forhold til Kronprins Haakon siden hun var liten. Ingrid Alexandra var også brudepike i Victoria og Daniels bryllup. Vet ikke om fadder og gudmor er det samme, men Victoria står også på listen over faddere. Prinsesse Ingrid Alexandras faddere er - i tillegg til Kong Harald - Hans Majestet Kong Felipe VI av Spania (daværende Prins Felipe av Asturias), Hans Kongelige Høyhet Kronprins Frederik av Danmark, Hennes Kongelige Høyhet Kronprinsesse Victoria av Sverige, Prinsesse Märtha Louise og Prinsessens mormor - Marit Tjessem.
