I Make Things - Episode 8 - Marko Barakoski
After years working on various construction and building projects, Marko was confounded by the amount of waste that was being produced. This inspired him to start using this waste to create something meaningful.
His goal is to design products as a means of assisting the transition to a sustainable society - empowering local exchange and production as an alternative recycling and waste disposal.

Beautiful! Thanks for the video! What type of wood (oak, maple, pine, etc.) did you use in the video? Do you find certain woods work better than others? If so, which ones? Thanks!

I'm a student who studies woodworking at Conestoga College. Is there any way I could see the actual workpiece of yours? Nice works!

Sinan Jaiya 100%. Nothing is original anymore. But that is how we all learn. Everything today is a variant of something already done. If someone is willing to pay him for it then what the hell. I want to do it because it looks fun and I have a lot of variant ideas this gives me. So, I’ll copy, learn, then vary....oh. And if someone wants to pay me for it, that’s fine too.😉

Your ignorance is annoying. Relief printing is a technique that has been used for hundreds of years. It's a medium to create art, but like painting with a brush. Artists paint the same things over and over, but eventually they develop their own technique. Printing wood slices has been done many times, but every piece is unique and to get it right takes practice. The print can be further developed using different compositions and mediums turning it into a mixed media print. The limits are only your creativity.
