@@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors Yep! I have watched it a couple of times. I"m trying to work your A1 profile into my P1S, and I really liked the detail you went into on your old videos back when I was using Cura. It really helped to understand what was what, and how best to tweak the settings for the best results. There are tons of videos out there, but they tend to focus on settings for much larger, less detailed prints.

Love the A1 Combo so much we're getting our second one on Monday. 90% of the performance of my P1S Combo but otherwise better overall with PLA/PETG. That includes silks and sparkles and tricolors, so most of what a hobbyist terrain printer would ever print. My K1 Max is also performing well for now, and it's quite an attractive printer, like the Bambus. What a glorious time to be involved in 3D printing.

Thanks for the video! I'm pretty well sold on getting a Bambu A1 or A1 mini. Were you planning to do a video on comparing them for printing minis or do you think that like this terrain test there wouldn't be any noticeable difference? Some people have said the A1 Mini prints better quality miniatures for some reason that's over my head.

Tom, thanks for the great video as usual, but your instructions are specific to Bambu Studio running on MacOS. For Windows, you use the left mouse button to to "scrub" down to .1 and the right mouse button to "scrub" up to .3. To me, the "scrubbing" process seems kind of clumsy and inexact. From my perspective, it would be simpler to allow the user to select the start and end of a "layer group" and then manually enter in the desired layer height as an exact number (.1, .2. or .3, for example). I'll send this suggestion to Bambu Labs directly.
@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors
@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors 5 ай бұрын
The 'scrubbing' allows for intermediate layer heights, but your idea would definitely be a good option to have.

I'm considering upgrading my Ender 3 V3 SE 3D printer, as it's a good starter, but I'm dealing with issues like inconsistent print quality and auto Z offset, which are becoming frustrating. I've narrowed down my choices to two options: 1. Flashforge Adventurer 5M, priced at $550 in my country. 2. Creality K1 is also around $550 2. Bambulab A1, costing $700 here, but it's not officially sold, leading to higher prices. Which one would you recommend? Creality printers are the only ones with good prices here. However, it seems like all of them need some fixing or adjusting. I want a printer that I can just start printing, go to work, and return to a finished print. I've heard that even the K1 can be unreliable at times.

Just a note for the variable layers. When I was trying this in my windows Bambu Studio left click made it thinner, while right click made it thinker. Not sure what was up with the Lightning infill, but not able to scroll down and select it. I'll try to fix that later, as I can't wait to try to print with your other options. I loved your settings for mini figures so much I had to rush out and try your Tile printing suggestions!
