Print Yourself in 3D | DOOB Custom Action Figures

Host Annamaria Stewart stops by DOOB SoHo to step into their doob-licator full-body scanner and then heads to the company’s Brooklyn production facility to watch her custom action figure come to life through 3D printing.
This episode is currently airing on ClearVISION, an innovative in-airport TV network which features the best entertainment, news, music, and sports programming for travelers.

Omg, this is amazing. this is my dream. I have wanted to do this for 3 years now. Please let me know if you ever need employees. I am a machinist but this is very inspiring to me. It would be a dream come true to be able to do this one day.

This would be really cool, if you had a scale model kit or diecast of a car you owned and wanted a 3D action figure of yourself in the same scale to make a realistic looking diorama with.

I wonder if this is what the airport full body scanners are actually secretly doing. Making copies of us for some sort of weird virtual reality. Maybe its even more high tech and they can make full living clones from these scans.

My wife needs a scan of herself for her clothing she does. She would need an exact one to one replica. Neck to thighs. Final material would need to have the ability to have pens pushed in it repeatedly.
