I just mean printers that print a nice gradient in the black- like what you have on your test sheets there😊 what printers have you tried that seem to print nicest gradients and not grainy ( or dotty) if that makes sense? Typically don’t select the greyscale option in printer settings as that makes print outs look worse ( strange but it’s true!). Looks better when you print these black and white pictures using full colour and best quality ☺️just would love a printer that does it nicely! Had a pizza once that did it nice

Thank you so much! I have an epson workforce 7840. Its fantastic as it prints on heavy paper and the ink is waterproof which i need. However, greyscale pictures are grainy , have all dots everywhere ( I have tried every single setting and cleaned the print heads and aligned them etc)! and i print so many greyscale colouring pages. Its really upsetting- mine must be faulty. May i ask your advice on what printer print greyscale colouring pages beautifully and in really high quality? Perhaps canon pixma but unsure what models are best suited for pictures etc. You know, print the grey gradient beautifully? Im in Australia and really not wanting to spend more than $200Aud on another printer Thank you so much! Oh a not about printing greyscale colouring pages- I always print on 'best quality" and usually the images are better when you dont select the greyscale and actually dont print in black and white (which must sound strange! But i find that actually using the colour makes printouts less grainy... even though you can actually see it as being coloured, just a nicer black if that makes sense? And that is for many printers i have used, but not all. i guess it depends on the printer).
