The platen is the same. You modify the size of your art in GC to print them properly.

Curious about resizing the art according to shoe size. What size shoe was this art set up for, so I know how to size up or down.

Thank you for your question. This requires the designer to create a template and adjust according to the shoe size. Unfortunately, the template is not available in the Garment Creator Software because the platen is not manufactured by EPSON. The only templates that are available in Garment Creator are those manufactured by EPSON.

Is it somehow possible to print on the front side of shoe as well?

The tongue of the shoe or the rubber where the foot is? The ink is designed to adhere to cellulose based fibers. The front part of the shoe is rubber and doesn't lay flat. The only way to test if the shoe can get into the machine without hitting the printhead is with a custom platen. If you are referring to the tongue, a custom platen would still be needed to complete the job or taping the down on a small enough platen.

HI @OG RAY, we're so sorry we missed your comment. If you check out the video you can see that the platen is designed for the high-top version. That being said, it would be possible for the ink to adhere if the Vans are 100% cotton, but the issue would be getting the shoe flat to get into the printer and not have a printhead strike. What printer would be best for sneakers and shoes printing

Hi Tufaan, thanks for your comment. You can do shoe printing on the Epson F2100 and the F3070. The print area needs to be flat and a non-coated fabric to be able to print on it with the inks being water based, you don't want the ink to run off the shoe. Whether it is possible to print the design on the inside of the sneaker? Not in side where people put their foot. I mean in other outside side. I hope you understand what I want to say.

@mladen, Hi! Yes, you can print on the opposite side of the shoe. For example, if you print the left side of the shoe on the left size of the platen, you would have to flip the shoe to its right side and plate it on the right side of the platen to print the opposite side. Hello Ti. Thank you for your note. The platen that is in the video is the smallest shoe platen we sell. As far as printing on non-canvas shoes, it needs to be 100% cotton and not treated. Converse type shoes are the most ideal.

Hi Adrienne, we don't provide DTG services, we only sell the equipment. We suggest searching on Google and Etsy for a service that provides Converse customization.

Is possible to print on leather shoes?

Yes, it is possible. But, you have to be sure it is raw leather - Most leather have a coating on it which could cause the ink to run off or you to burn the shoe when trying to cure the ink.
