OTTIME Le pose figurali assunte nel balletto d'ensemble. Ottimo il senso del continuum dato alla pièce danzante.Grande impressione di naturalezza esecutiva d'acchito da parte di entrambi. I admire her physic is very very beautiful, and i deeply believe that's what makes us admire her, she has lots of physical potential. for ballet the body is the instrument, and it seems she has the best instrument.. but ballet has another part...the mind, and it seems alina works very little this section, for us ballet LOVERS, we see this girls with LOADS of potential and we CRY inside...GOD SHE COULD BE BETTER! WHERE IS HER SPIRITUALITY?

She was born with the body and the ability. Her artistry has taken a little longer to develop. I can see growth.

Even though I'm a girl, I couldn't bear to imagine how difficult is must be to partner someone who is renowned for lacking so much control.

I agree with others who have commented here...At present, the ballet world is, frankly, full of perfect physical specimens who can raise their legs up to their ears (and many who do it with more fluidity and beauty than Somova, who has an ugly sort of distortion to her extension). It's sad when all that raw talent is there but no artistry develops behind it.

wow, this pdd is so much better than her variation! she obviously dances like a young girl here, amazing lines, huge smile, close to perfection.... technically. but there's no personality behind it whatsoever. but hey, if I were 20 (I am actually, haha), dancing in this company with that wonderful technique, body and everything, given such a pdd, i'd be just alike - go on stage and just dance without giving a shit :)

@Cheersquad4evz Higher legs can be impressive, but in no way are they NICER, especially if they distort lines-like Somova!. Her "expression" which you insist she has, is completely over the top -it actually looks like she's mocking it all together. Seriously, how much more "secobesque" can she get? She has all this amazing facility, but she can't even get a leg behind her? Surely her extremely mobile joints can accommodate for a rotated leg behind square alignment don't you reckon?

you really should have zoomed out the camera because we can't see most of their bodies in the video! such a pity! :(

I can actually watch her without being too horrified. She has improved a lot. However, if she's a prima w/ THE MARIINSKY, shouldn't she be more aware of her por de bras? Sometimes because she's too in the moment, she'll be crunching the back of her neck and make the beautiful lines get distorted. Or whenever she's in arabesque, her second (lower) arm will suddenly jerk up and go higher than a 90*angle from her upper body.

What does spirituality even mean anyway? Dancers are supposed to be good actors as well, "spirit" has nothing to do with it. Or with anything else, for that matter.
