The common fantasy is that there is tons of money to burn on tours that Galactic and their colleagues play. The 80's and that business model are dead. Sure, stadium bands and some theatre acts will have a dedicated drum tech, but in this case Stanton said it. The FOH guy is really a jack-of-all-trades and can get stuff up and running. A single bus tour/van tour has no budget for that kind of personnel.

Few years ago here in Asheville Stanton's band came thru. I enjoyed the show, fantastic. But afterwards, he was meeting "fans" and proceeded to literally grope a young woman. He was off to the side of things and maybe thought he was out of site. I was waiting to meet him. He was pulling her in close and his hands were all aggressive on her ass and it was just totally cringe & creepy! She pulled away. It was obvious what he was trying to do. Dude was even wearing his wedding ring. I don't listen to his stuff anymore.
