Prism's lip-sync performance of "Armageddon" on the October 23rd, 1979 broadcast of the CBC TV variety show "The Raes" - recut the album audio from 7:45 to the radio edit of 4:14, cleaned it up, tightened and reformatted the footage.
The aircraft footage and effects during the performance was added either by Prism or the CBC.

I guess this is as close to an official video for "Armageddon" as you're going to find.
Hope you enjoy!!

As a proud Canadian, I was a teen in grade 13 back in 1977 when PRiSM released their first album. The 70’s were a great time for Canadian rock bands with the likes of April Wine, Chilliwack, Max Webster, Triumph, Trooper, Rush and several others keeping good company with PRiSM. I was fortunate to have seen many of these awesome bands play live back in the day. Almost 63 years old, today I still listen to 70s rock. 👊

I was 20 years old in 1979 and me and my girlfriend just arrived at the used car lot to pick up my 1975 Chevrolet pickup truck I had bought. Newly painted bright red, black interior and standard transmission- it also had an 8-track tape player. When the final signature was scribbled, we hopped up into the cab and popped in Prism's Armageddon cartridge and clicked till we landed on "Armageddon" and cranked the volume. It sounds naïve and silly now but I was on top of the world..

The song on the album starts with an orchestral introduction...totally something unheard of...that compliments the song...huge back then! this song was true Canadian, perfect...ending with the orchestra...beautiful I believe it was the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra playing. Damn...Millenials...we had the best music in the 70/80's....enjoy

Good reason to wear a glove singing is those damn mics were notorious for electrical shorts if you took them out of the stand. Good thing back in those times were to see many play in small venues , as not all liked the big stages it was less of a organic feeling , with a smaller crowd better for band feedback and better for fans and the band plays better.

Several former members of Prism were in the preliminary discussion stages of a Prism reunion in late 1984. Al Harlow and Ron Tabak had made plans to spend Christmas 1984 together at Harlow's place in Kitsilano. Tabak decided to cycle to Harlow's home on Christmas Eve as a way to get some exercise. This turned out to be a bad decision as the roads were snow covered and he rode at night without a headlight and helmet and had consumed a large quantity of alcohol. On the way, near Kingsway and Earles Street, Tabak was struck by a passing vehicle, fell and hit his head on the pavement. He was taken by ambulance to the Burnaby General Hospital where he abruptly became abusive and uncooperative, prompting staff to call Burnaby RCMP. Two Constables arrested him, thinking he was under the influence of alcohol and he was held in Burnaby cells. He was later discovered unconscious in his jail cell and was rushed by ambulance to Royal Columbian Hospital. A second examination discovered a blood clot had developed on the right side of his brain. Tabak died of an aneurysm on Christmas Day 1984, before a pending neurosurgical operation could be performed.
