Because KZfaq favours videos which can earn more money by millions and millions of views. To be honest. I learnt so much in this video. I loved it.

absolutely valid reason for the glass slab's emergent ray to be white rather a spectrum. i have researched a lot about this on all websites but they all give reason which dont seem valid and reasonable but you made it Mahesh sir.

Awesome explanation sir. I finally understood the concept clearly without just memorising the lines in the textbook. This KZfaq channel deserves way more subscribers than this.

This has made my 10th standard very useful. I am truly grateful for this and the other videos... I really like watching these videos because we actually learn why things happen, we don’t need to by heart reactions and laws without understanding them :)

Why is the spectrum reversed when viewing a light source through a prism? I can see in your video that you show them overlapping at one point, which might explain it, but whether or not they overlap when exiting the prism, or when we trace it back through the prism, why is it that only the spectrum is inverted and not the image itself?
@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish5 жыл бұрын
Great question. Since the blue light bends more it appears to have originated from higher in the sky. (If you trace it back it will make sense). And hence when you see it, you see blue at the top and red at the bottom

@@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish Yes, but why is it that only the spectrum is inverted and not the image itself?
@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish5 жыл бұрын
@@secularsanity7706 The spectrum is not inverted. The rays of light, from the things higher in the sky, will always be more oblique compared to things lower in the sky. The rays of light, from things in front of you, would be more parallel to the ground. (even without any prism). [I may not be using the best choice of words, so feel free to follow up with more questions]

@@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish No, I’m sorry, but that doesn’t make any sense to me. Can you make a ray tracing diagram through a prism? Obviously the light source or object is going to be displaced towards the apex (see image in link below), but can you show me exactly why the red is deflected toward the base and why the blue is deflected towards the apex? Would you be willing to make another video that explains it? medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/prism

I think its because of the triangle being right angled.
