Hey Joe , I've recently completed my run in with the Canadian legal system for the last 4 years. I am currently on parole and will be completing my probation. Let me know if you'd like some info if you plan on doing a Canadian episode , I watched your show before going in and it helped but there are some major differences between the states and Canada in regards to the prison system and I am sure many of your Canadian viewers would be interested. The first one actually happened to me. I was in a jail called Surrey Pre Trial wrote my name on the bottom of the bunk.Three weeks after I got out I ended up right back in Surrey Pre Trial on the same unit and the same dam cell. What luck.

Hot dogs and such, in women's prisons are not cut or chopped up in any way. The concept of doing so is most definitely something made up in the minds of a male prison population. Biologically speaking, those over-boiled, mushy things, prisons call, "hot dogs," would not make it past the first trip inside the tunnel - much less repeated visits - if you catch my drift. Realistically, the end result of trying such a thing would end up with a visit to a medical ward; with a nurse trying to remove a piece of a hot dog, lodged inside a place a hot dog was not intended to be. Besides, there are several different options - which are MUCH more appropriate, MUCH safer to utilize and will last for many many repeated uses. As to what those options are... think about it, for a while. I'm sure you will come up with one or two things.

I ran into a buddy of mine, in there, and one of the first things he said after the whole "Skyler! What are you doing here!?" was "Oh, dude, don't write your name anywhere..."

Another great video Joe, Heard about the first urban legend by three days in my first time being locked up when I was tagging my bunk. Must have thought about it a little too much that night cause the next day I scratched my name back out. LOL. It's always great to see someone else trying to do right and not fall back in the old lifestyle. I'm proud to be able to say that I finally completed my probation back in April and in just a few years I went from starting at the bottom at a furniture factory and now they've got me running half the place. Feels amazing to have gone from being a criminal and an addict to being part in charge of a multi million dollar company. Watching your videos really makes me think about how much I don't want to go back to where I was. It has also inspired me to try to be a mentor to people I used to run around with that are finishing up their prison terms and trying to do right ,including my sister( she got out last week and is doing well so far). But anyway I think you're doing a good thing Joe keep it up and stay out of trouble brother.

I've never been to prison, but I have been to County. I'm a woman and the trustees prepared all the meals served in the jail. Let's just say we knew when they were feeling lazy on hot dog day... or getting the toothbrush holder thingy on commissary. Yeah... THAT one, the ones that hold the ENTIRE toothbrush 😯😒

on one of my bits there was a white shirt (lieutenant ) that if he warned a guy too many times to keep his pants pulled up he would take them and make them exchange all their pants for the tightest pants he could find for them.Then you'd see see these guys walking around in pants so tight they looked like leggings. Think that ol' heads talking about them private type attacks. When you are in private (yah, mostly no private, but in some cases) i.e. when your in kitchen by the cellar, or behind some shelves where somebody can eat a knife, etc. The rule states, you don't see shit, you don't say shit. period.

When I got locked up I was in a holding cell for about a day when they finally shipped me to the back. I was so tired that I didn't realize that everyone had made pallets on the floor and there was one top bunk open me not thinking I threw my stuff up there and decided to settle in but this ole head that was in there nudged me and said hey if I were you I would make my bed on the floor there were using that top bunk for people who had been in the holding cell all night or for a day or so and when they came in the cell they were too tired and they would grab that top bunk and go off to sleep little did I know that once that person went off to sleep they would beat or rape you once you fell asleep I thanked that man for not letting that happen to me inmates are smarter than you think conniving also. I once was shipped to the back on D hall with all the killers and molesters soon as I got into the cell someone slid two cakes under the trap door I didn't even give them time to stop sliding before I kicked them back to them they said hey man I remember you from school was trying to help you out and I was like nah fam I'm good over here I don't trust a soul when I was locked up I know what my intentions are but aren't certain what yours are people will test and always try and size you up in jail but I'm street smart I seen people get beat up for 2 biscuits in a cell the man told this other guy anyone you don't like in here I'll beat them up if you give me 2 biscuits in the morning I'm telling you scary place that I never want to see again North Carolina has one of the scariest jails
