I really like this scene. Tell you a lot about Jakes character. For example, being alone on Thanksgiving indicates hes always at work and alone.

This introductory scene makes his character instantly likeable. He's a loner but we see how capable he is at his job when he gives commands to the nearby cops and how much he cares about the wellbeing of potential victims when he demands answers about the missing girls.

I love the neo-noir look to this movie. You could easily add in some drive or blade runner-esque synthwave to this and it'd work.

Prisoners, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049: Denis Villeneuve and Roger Deakins are a masterclass duo, along with everyone involved in those films from cast to crew
